Cannot besiege enemy town

I just recently started my own kingdom and Tomtun was owned by East Engle. Both me and Northymbre are at war with them and the Northumbrian marshall was laying siege to it. I then managed to recruit said lord to my kingdom while he was besieging the town. It is longer besieged yet I cannot besiege it myself either. I think something about recruiting the lord failed to trigger "siege was broken" and just removed the state without reenabling the dialog option to besiege it.

Any way around it. Afraid I overwrote the save before recruiting the guy before realizing what had happened.

If you are playing vanilla (no tweaks, mods or cheats) you can post your savegame + rgl_log.txt. That way devs can look into it.

Otherwise you can check the modding board for community help

The problem fixed itself. Enemy faction was able to lay siege to it although I couldn't and when they failed, the siege lifted so I could attack it again. It only blocked the player, not other NPC's.
