    SP Dark Ages [Submod] Blood Eagle-Independent VC mod (released 3.3)

    Hi!

    I updated my submod.

    Changes:
    - Frisians troop tree added
    - Some  mercenaries have troop tree
    - bandit troop tree changed
    - changed parties ( more units and variety)
    - main cultures have now 2 special units

    Other changes:
    -shields are more destructible
    -bows are stronger but have lesser accuracy
    -crossbows penetrate shields but have lesser accuracy and shot speed
    -horses trample enemies
    -units have higher skills
    -units have more detailed inventory
    -bandits are real threats now
    -more interesing battles

    How about now? How you rate changes?

    OK I understand but how can I implement tf_guarantee_polearm to this unit?
    I have python instaled and I downloaded VC_source_2036.

    I want my unit use two types of weapon: sword and polearm. So when I make units with these two weapons sword is always quaranted and polearm is in item inventatory but not always appear when unit spawns in battle. If you look at picture you have
    3 slots. Sword, spear and shield.
    In this picture you have 2 spears and 3 swords but here spears are not guaranted.

    In other picture you have also 2 spears and there these spears are quaranteed.
    Completely dont know how its works and why sometimes spear is guaranted and sometimes not.

    In picture in this post one spears are diffrent then from post below.

    Any ideas?

    Hi! I'm making unit submod to VC Blood Eagle! So I using morgh tools and i stuck in one unit cause he dont have guaranteed polearm. I am confused because if i give other polearm he will get this polearm as quaranteed. 1 is not guaranteed spear 2 is guaranteed spear

    I modify troop tree for every nation( excluding Frisians), also I change some weapons and little parties.

    Units are now more standardized but the same unit still have various weapons and armors.
    Little description:
    Norse have strong infrantry but weak missle unit and medicore cavalery. They infrantry faster get better armor and skills.
    Britons have most balanced troop tree.
    Irish have strong throwers and weak cavalery.
    Saxon have strong archers and cavalery but weak infrantry.
    Pictish have strong light infrantry with javelins and crossbowmens.
    Angles have balanced troop tree with most armored units.
    Frisians are not done yet.

    Every nation have 3 special unit whos better then others.
    I also make some mercenaries. I wanna to make for every mercenary short unit tree.
    Caravan Parties are changed(have  more units and more gold and goods)
    Some weapons are changed:
    -Missle weapons(bows, crossbows and javelins)
    -Shields are less durable- not finished yet.

    I hope I didnt forget something.

    (VC) Turning formations off

    In game options I can only disable formation for my army, so its not enought.
    AI Lords ofc use formation but to be honest they dont do it well, so battles are easy and all game are easy by this feature.
    Ai units dont use they advantages and its the biggest problem in battles. They are always do same manuvers. For example
    cavalery always charge first and die quick without casulties in my side, next they army charge in ranks formation but even this
    dont work propely. In native it was important to have more army and get good troops. Units tend to come close to enemy,
    but in VC they just wait for death his teammate.

    I play a long time and I even change unit statistics by using Morgh unit editor. Even when enemy have more units and they
    are better then my I easly win battles. I test also both sides of battles and a result was the same.

    So I think I will be forced to try modding game but to be honest i dont even know what to do.
    I downloaded VC source and try to run this but i fail.

    Hi! Can someone tell me step by step how can I disable formations for AI leaders in Viking Conquest! Did I need just turn off script? Just i like more native type of battle? If its important i wanna change formations in Blood Eagle mod for Viking Conquest. Cheers
