What happened to the horse archery script that allowed horse archers to circle around the enemy? Is there any way to get it back?

I'm having a strange bug that causes equipment to look shiny. I did not encounter this bug when I played the mod a year ago.  I've tried playing around with the graphic settings, but to no solution. I have Warband version 1.158 and mod version 1.03

What helmets do they have? Is there any way to get them? I haven't seen them in any of the shops.

How do I disable the minimap? Pressing backspace doesn't give any option for it.

I would like to request a mod where you can recruit units like in previous M&B titles (by simply going to a village) and have those troops progress from peasants to knights.
