    Well, I tried it and it didn't work.  Thanks for the idea though.  I've just learned to keep multiple saves while I play.  That way I only loose a game day or two when it happens.

    Correction:  It does work, im an idiot.  Too long of a story to explain  :oops:

    And not only did it work for this problem, it worked for all the various crashes that happen during the game (I've been getting random crashes lately for no good reason.)  Thanks for the great tip!!!

    Ask your Marshall to tell all the mercenaries to move out.  It is one of the dialouge buttons you can choose when you talk to him.  Then you can go to the mercenary party and talk to them.
  4. Cannot upgrade homeland troops

    Talk to your Marshall.  He can upgrade all your homeland troops, as long as the place you find him has the correct buildings.

    No, it wasn't the Boar Clan, I know who they are.  The "Camp Bandit"  as it was called only added one soldier to the battle with the normal bandits I came across.  And at the end of battle when there was conversation, he was named "Unarmored Troop" and had no shirt on.

    I ran into a weird situation, and I thought it may have been a hidden quest.  I attack some bandits late at night between Haringoth Castle and the mountains immediately to the west (in the mountain range.)  The display mentioned that camp bandits have joined the enemy for the battle.  I didn't see another party in the area, but whatever.  At the end of the battle, there was a dialouge with an "unarmed troop" saying his clan would not forget and seek revenge against me (the same kind of crud mercenary field generals say when you defeat them.)  I have no idea who he was or what clan, and I really didnt need any more enemies at the moment, so I let him go. 

    After I let him go, it went back to the map, and there was still nothing on the map showing him or his party.  I never found him again, even when I quit and restart the game to have it happen again.  I regret not taking him prisioner!!


    Also, I found a hidden treasure chest in one of the cities.  It has a Ronin Mask and a Nodachi Sword.  Good stuff to grab at the beginning of the game! 

    So maybe there are hidden quests.........

    Hey, thanks for the reply.  I know people are busy and have lives, and thats a good thing!  I just really like this game and its a bummer that the same thing keeps happening after a couple weeks of play....

    UGGGGHHHH!!!!!    It happened again with a new game...............

    I just finished beating up a caravan, and after the battle I level upped my troops, and then I hit the camp button because I wanted to upgrade my mercenaries, but instead the screen went black, and a few moments later the windows box popped up saying there was an error and windows has to shut down mount & blade.    :sad:

    Heads up!  Even though the patch does allow you to have as many troop types as you like, when you recruit a NPC Hero to your party, a glitch in the program cuts the number of troop types you have back to 32.  So every slot of troop past #32 just disappears! 

    So becareful abou thow many troop types you have until you get all your characters in place.....

    Well, I figured out what is happening.  Even though the "hidden ninja patch"  allows you to have more than 32 troop types, when ever you recruit a NPC Hero to your party, the game still cuts you off at 32 troop types.  So all the extra slots of troops after #32 just disappear! 

    But then you can recruit past 32 troop types again, until you recruit someone else, and it happens all over again......

    you gotta help out the Jobless Mercenaries when they are in battle.  Early on I just follow them around and help them when they get attacked.  Great way to earn your first 5+ levels!

    You know, come to think of it, this problem started after I downloaded the "Hidden Ninja Patch" to have more than 32 troop types in my party.  I dont ever remember this problem happening before I got this patch.

    Im on the latest patch and morale is great!  (Usually)  So, I dunno.  I was just curious.  I sucks when you lose your top tier troops for 1 NPC.  But I dont mind when its a bunch of Manhunters  :p

    Yes, this is true.  But when I find and decide to hire someone like Alayen or Bundunk or whoever, I usually loose 10-20 people from my army.  It has nothing to do with being near my troop limit because I can be far from my limit and they still leave, and there is never any message saying that they left or why.  So I am just trying to figure out if it is a glitch or is there some RPG element to the game that is going on here.

    Quick question, how come when I recruit Heros (NPC) to my party or bring them back after they left, some of my army disappears?  I'm not at the troop limit, but I usually loose 20-30 soldiers when I recruit them back!  Is this suppose to happen or is it a quirk?
  17. Camp Button is Crashing My Game Again

    In my latest game, the only thing I used it for was mercenary upgrades and inventory management (mostly as Item Pool).  Im only on day 40 and havent captured anything yet so I cant use any of those other commands (edicts, relic game, fief management), and I never use the strategic map because it causes all kinds of problems for me.

    Before the crashing started the camp button worked just fine.  But at some point the crash happened and now every single time I load the game and hit the camp button, it crashes.  And whatever is making it crash is saved to my specific game save because I have started other games and in the saves for those games the camp button works just fine.  Again, when the camp button stops working is random because I had another game where the Legion was about to appear before the camp button died, about 300 game days into it.  Nothing funny happens before the first crash.  But as soon as the first crash happens, it happens ever single time after that.

    Thanks for looking into it though!  I can make it crash at will, and if there are specific files or logs or anything I can pull just let me know.

    I dont know what else to add.  The game works fine.  At some point, on some random day, when I click the camp button, the screen goes black, the monitor clicks like it is changing resolution, there is still the cursor from the game and it moves and clicks on the windows dialouge box when it pops up and says there is an error with Mount and Blade and windows needs to close it.  The music still plays, and I dont know what else there is to say.  the game works fine otherwise.  Here is the error signature from Windows:

    Great mod (V5.0)  My game is 287 days into it and all of a sudden I don't get any information anymore during battles (no damage, exp, who died, etc.)  My settings say that all of this information should still be displayed, but nothing is.  And the game locks up for 15 seconds every time someone...
