    Yeah this was happening BEFORE I put Diplomacy mod on. I was well into the beta before I slapped on Diplomacy.

    Ok so four hours into the patch and testing it and let me say first off, wow, just wow.

    The new skill system? *chef kiss* Absolutely amazing. Before in 1.7.2 I really hadn't a single clue how to train some of those skills. Things like scouting? Leadership before Tier 2? Never happen. In 1.8? Amazing, I am actually skilling these up.

    Combat skills are flying by and I admit I was somewhat surprised when I saw the numbers just speeding by on my screen. Now after 4 hours? No, this is perfect. This is how it should have been before. Great job.

    The mercenary invitations? I got my first one. by Rhagea. It was pretty straight forward in that it told me what I was getting hired for and how that translated into influence gained. Really nice however may I also put in that I believe if they're not in a war they should not be worried about hiring mercenaries. Also, when they're done with a war they should release the mercenaries and focus on peace time things. Unless they're hiring the mercenaries to kill bandits and keep their roads cleared then that's ok. Actually, how about we do that? What if you guys find a way to make it so when a leader hires you, they hire you for a purpose. This can be reflected in the contract. Say if it's a defensive contract it explains that you are being hired to patrol her lands and defend towns, defend peasants, etc. Furthermore a contract of this sort would have less weight when they go to recruit your parties into their armies for offensive stuff. And for offensive contracts make it so you are expected to go out and harass caravans, raid, and attack nobles and peasants in their lands.

    You know, let's go a step further with this:
    I get hired by Rhagea on a defensive contract. This contract says in a nutshell - I want you to defend my lands from bandits and keep my towns safe. How about we get a 'quest' while were under this contact from her randomly using the same mercenary contact notification that is her offering you specific goals for money and influence?

    Just food for thought.

    I don't believe I said that at all. In fact, I said I am very happy where we're at. Nowhere in my post did you see anything even remotely close to me saying that I believe the game should be released, because I didn't, and it shouldn't. There are issues still in the game and there are bugs still in the game. As a person who always runs beta branch as soon as it comes out I tend to believe that if I test it and report it then it will get fixed. With that said, I have been reporting issues and I don't believe that the game is prepared to be moved out of early access.

    Early access is just that, early access. When you go to the store page it actually tells you :

    Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.​

    Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

    Complaining about a game that clearly told people that it was not ready and there was no specified release date is actually a bit silly. That's like buying a car without four wheels and the dealer clearly tells you that, but you buy it anyways and then complain. In all honesty Taleworlds could drop this game and stop all development on it and you agreed to be fine with that when you purchased it because.... it's in early access and that covers early access.

    Just wanted to share this. I've been playing this since it dropped and I have NEVER seen the AI do this, ever. In case you're wondering what you are looking at:
    Sargot has 700+ troops.
    The Empire saw then a second army showed up to assist in the siege.

    I personally have done this when AI is on a castle, but NEVER have I seen AI help AI. Well done Taleworlds, well done!

    Take everything I say with a grain of salt; some of it may be outdated/wrong information.

    All the items can appear in stores. Some of them require a smithy in-town to appear; high prosperity also plays a role here so you may lack this. The gold the town has also affects this but I do not remember if the gold itself is tied to prosperity (they also refresh after some days if you deplete them)

    The smithy will consume raw materials (so, yes in your question) to create final products. There is a chance that dictates which product is gonna get created, with better items having lower probability. So you can make the smithy produce items but you cannot influence which item is gonna get created AFAIK

    Please correct me if I am wrong people!
    So i'm actually going to test this theory in my RP run to see if this is still the case. I'm going to sink enough into smithing just to get better refining in regards to wood and then force feed a local smith to see what happens. I will post results.

Clear there exist some mods now (in development), but if... most are more testable than playable, because the modders wait for the needed TW-mod-tools (for overhaul modding). And those will first come after release that is clear. So i think folks who want fine mods want now the release with the hope at once the mod tools will be present. I dont think so, but that could be one of the reasons :smile:.
    Anyway it is obvious it is nearly similar to waiting for the christmas child... a torture!
