Sturgian and real life inspirations according to developers

Kinda surprised reading that. It certainly seems like they're quite a bit more Nordic inspired. Hoping the single player troop tree is a bit more Slavic, though you'd think the multiplayer classes would be more Slavic as well if that was the case.

    No more dev blog ?

Would be nice if they at least said something. They used to let us know why blogs were late, now it's just radio silence. If it's because early access is just around the corner or because of GIST, fair enough, but at least say something after promising bi weekly blogs.

Like half of the last 10 blogs have been late, everything alright over there? You guys seem to be slipping.

How old are you ppl waiting for bannerlord?

Its kinda interesting, you always hear stories about these old people who are incredibly bored or feeling neglected at these retirement homes, and I just imagine myself having the time of my life being like a kid again playing video games all day.

You misread Sir, what I was saying is he doesn't scold his workers enough. A little fire under this teams butt and you just might have a another game released this century. Maybe he needs to make a release date for his own employees (just not tell the fans, because as they stated last week, "There just isn't a release date, we don't work that way") And keep on them to make sure they get it or near.

I swear back in March at some point someone around here said this game was in "final touches" I guess I need to re-examine this phrase. When someone tells me that in the real world I think 3-7 days tops. Now the game world is a bit different, obviously, but still I wouldn't think that meant 2 years later...

How can you possibly know that he doesn't "scold his workers enough." You don't work there and have no way of knowing that there is even a problem with productivity.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Old Discussion Thread

Not sure if anyone has commented on this yet but the impacts in Bannerlord look amazing. The way enemies fly off their horses and infantry get run over looks spectacular. Especially compared to Warband, everything just feels a bit more punchy and meaty.

Nope, i am getting really annoyed about the math skills of people nowadays, counting together players on servers i got to around 1300 of 9100 online. Making up facts to further promote your narrative seems to be a trend now. It is a difference if you talk about only 5 % or 20 % of the audience as a niche.

Nope, I'm getting really annoyed at how people simply don't think things through before they write stuff, yet alone their math skills. Notice how I said "around," I was generalizing. Not only that but do realize the amount of players fluctuates throughout the day and week. Maybe don't assume I'm trying to "make up facts to further promote my narrative" when you're looking at the amount of players several hours after I did. (When what I wrote was actually true.)

I think it would be cool if they showed at least a little footage of multiplayer in some form, just for those that play it. Although the majority of people do play singleplayer. If you look at the steam community page for M&B there is usually around 7,000 - 9,000 people playing M&B, and only about 400-600 of those are playing multiplayer.

TaleWorlds Youtube channel comment on Battle of Bucharest 2017 - Grand Finals Teaser:

"Hey everyone! We know you're all really excited about Bannerlord - and we are too! Remember, this is organised by the Lithuanian Esport Federation and PGL - our involvement is limited to a few employees who are not part of the development team but are gaining valuable experience for the future through events like these.

We're also very excited to be bringing you more news and announcements for Bannerlord at E3 next month. In the meantime, hopefully you enjoy the finals on Saturday - blood, honor and glory awaits us!"

Well if there was ever any doubt on whether or not we would be getting any information at E3 we now know. I like that word "announcements." :fruity:

Well, I guess we can only hope that they release it when they feel confident enough that its ready, and in a reasonable amount of time from now. As for the hype, I don't think that would really be a problem, releasing a trailer or more info on the game a couple of months before the release date would probably be enough to fuel the hype train and get everybody back on board. Similar to the buzz of activity on the forums and all the hype when we got the video and info at the beginning of August.

In all honesty I'd rather have them publish it themselves, sure we might not get it as soon as some people might like but chances are it will be more polished and content complete. Plus we wont have to deal with all those people that say they want it now and then, once they get it, complain about all the bugs and exclaim how "bad" it is. Regardless, it comes out when it comes out.

I think that the question that everyone really wants answered, is, where will the house of Rolf be in Bannerlord?

What if, by some twist of fate, Rolf in 1257 was not lying about his noble origins? Perhaps the house of Rolf was a powerful Calradian family at one point in time.

Or, Rolf's ancestor, Rolf, might have been a simple bandit chieftain long ago who pillaged his way to glory. Only time will tell.

I do hope they include something like this. It would be cool to be able to find references to Warband in the game like that.
    All hail house Rolf!

Agreed. One of the most annoying things I find is when people ask for games to go into early access and then they complain about how "bad" the game is when it enters early access because they expect the game to be complete. They don't understand the point of early access and what its used for, they then proceed to get mad and start complaining.

Oh wow, its cool to see how many different troops there are. For the empire at least. Different variants of cavalry with horsemen, heavy horsemen and cataracts. As well as archers and heavy archers. I wonder if these are all apart of the same skill tree or are different troops all together that excel in different things. Ie, Heavy archers have more armour and maybe do more damage but normal archers are quicker and more useful for skirmishing and quick hit and run tactics. Very cool regardless of which is the case.

5 years ago i was excited about the new M&B game. Then i started to lose hope from the apparent lack of progress and information.
Recently i heard about ''Kingdom Come: Deliverance'' and i suddenly lost my ability to give a single **** about M&B  . And the best thing is, it will be released in summer 2016. So hold on just a little more my medieval friends, there is hope after all.

Honestly I'm happy if people like you leave. I swear no one understands the concept of patience anymore. The game isn't dead and it has been stated several times that it isn't. It will come out when its ready. I don't understand why you would lose hope from a "lack" of information. We DO get information, just not as much as most people would like.
