@wolfserpentfish
1) that is a "Legends of Zelda" shield
2) that bow and arrow looks a bit too "modern" to me. I think we should be going for a more "rustic" feel
3) the first sword looks great.
4) the second sword could be a badger weapon or something, but in my opinion is a bit too gothic/fancy. Remember, we want the mod to feel more rustic than gothic.
5) is it possible to use sketch-up models in MnB? They've got a weird format; I don't know if they can be converted.
@Tuckles and Unbound Zero
I think you are both making good and pretty much valid points.
However, I want to put my spin on this. In a number of occasions, non-combat peaceful goodbeasts from the abbey have been able to trounce battle-hardened vermin without very much of a problem. This is nothing short of ludicrous in terms of reality, logic, and gameplay for the mod. In reality, weasels, ferrets, and stoats are stronger, faster, smarter, and quicker than all the variety of mice, hedgehogs, shrews, squirrels, rats, hares, and rabbits. Also, even though Redwall isn't totally realistic, it is at least somewhat based on reality (for example badgers are rightfully the strongest and most dangerous animal), so the stoats, weasels, and ferrets should be closer to the "top-of-the-food-chain".
Logically speaking, a battle-hardened, evil vermin who has no moral concern for killing another beast should easily defeat a peaceful abbey dweller or two which is not how it often happens in the books. This means that we can't totally trust the books for everything.
Now, gameplay speaking, we have to make sure that things are balanced enough to make playing as a vermin or good beast fun.
Ultimately, I think it comes down to the quantity vs quality idea. Just to make things relatively consistent with the books, I think we should adopt the policy of vermin going for quantity, and goodbeasts going for quality. But I still think that all factions should have some significantly expensive elite troop that is not really any better than any other elite troop.
