Truthfully, I think you need more than 16 but this is a lot of typing :p
I hope this is what you were looking/hoping for
#19 = Marinian Inspired
Marinian Former Diplomat
Name: Freina
Issues: High casualties, payment
Skills: High persuasion, Athletics, Riding
Equipment:Fine garments and a nice knife.
#Intro. This is what the NPC says to the PC when first activated.
("npc19_intro", "You wouldn't happen to be {Playername}, would you?"),
#PC Reply. This is how the PC responds to the first statement.
("npc19_intro_response_1", "Why yes, I would. Why do you ask?"),
("npc19_intro_response_2", "Step away from me, stranger, and keep your distance."),
#Back story. This is an opportunity to describe the character. Remember the NPC has just met the PC. They may not want to tell every thing. You will have other oportunities to reveal darker, secret stuff if you wish.
("npc19_backstory_a", "Well, I'm looking for a leader of men. I've heard through the grapevine and rosebush and all sorts of other shrubbery that you are an impressive one."),
("npc19_backstory_b", "You see, I used to be a diplomat in the Republic of Marina. In fact, I was one of their best diplomats, and once they picked up on that, I was sent to deal with the most dicey and pressing issues with the other powers, especially with Aden. There were a number of wars, and I was voted out of my position."),
("npc19_backstory_c", "I like to believe that they don't know what they've missed out on. But enough rambling about me, what about yourself?"),
#Back story Response. After story, your character might offer a job.
("npc19_backstory_response_1", "Oh, we will have plenty of time to talk about me once you join my company!"),
("npc19_backstory_response_2", "Such a shame, that. As much as I'd love to share, I have things to do. Men to lead, as you said."),
#Your now into the sign up phase. You have just told the NPC you will consider hiring them. The NPC has two lines to describe skills, thank the PC, perform some blood right...whatever you please.
("npc19_signup", "Yes, I would love to handle your diplomatic relations! Of course, I can also fight, though those skills of mine are not nearly as impressive. I do hope there's no rite involving spilling my blood, is there?"),
("npc19_signup_2", "A kind invitation, that, and I'd be delighted to accept! I prefer to handle diplomacy, but I do alright with my knife. I hope there's no sacrificial ceremony?"),
("npc16_signup_response_1", "No, no, nothing like that."),
("npc19_signup_response_2", "Actually, you'll have to cut off your nose. I'm sorry, but it's a rule. No nose, or no warband. * Angela shakes her head and grabs her nose in horror *"),
#Payment. If your NPC wants initial payment. You deal with it here. In Abelli's case she didnt need payment, and was not truly in a position to ask for any. She is thankful she is hired, and not rocking the boat. Instead of dialog I have replaced it by {!} this allows the game to skip it.
("npc19_payment", "Then there's only one more issue; I've friends and family here and can't just leave them. Perhaps I could throw a small banquet to celebrate my job? It'd only cost around 1500, and it''ll be over before you know it."),
("npc19_payment_response", "Of course, I can't expect you to leave your family without a proper goodbye."),
#Morality. Your character will get angry, or pleased with certain actions. Pick two and write how your NPC would talk with the PC. Here you can use the variable {s21} to refer to the problem.
("npc19_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I'm sure there's a way to work this out with less loss of lives; more than a few of those deaths were my friends who died protecting me."),
("npc19_2ary_morality_speech", "{Playername}, I find it most important to pay people. Without pay, they grumble, and make life most unpleasant. Not to mention, it's a risky business when you don't get paid one week and die the next; these men give you their loyalty, and you should treat them well for it. We're not brigands, after all."),
#Personality Clash. Your character will have problems with 2 other characters. Substitute their names with {s11} and describe why your NPC does not like them. This can be left out if you wish, because you dont know what kind of NPCs there will be.
("npc19_personalityclash_speech", "The antics of Glordan are simply appalling, and the way he attempts to do all the things those younger than him are doing reflects the hotheaded temper of those Adenians! It makes me sick inside, remembering how I've had to deal with people like him. I simply can't handle it."),
("npc19_personalityclash_speech_b", "I hate to sound jealous, but Glordan manages to steal my spotlight; a man among a plethora of other men, stealing my jokes and gaining the attention of men better than myself! I hate to sound self obsessed, but it's unnerving. I can't handle it much longer."),
("npc19_personalityclash2_speech", "Cutthroat Boris is a man I simply cannot tolerate. Though I understand he’s been through quite a harsh life, that neither legitimizes the crudeness of his speech nor of his actions. He’s the sort of scoundrel that makes my job difficult; I already had to deal with threats from the outside. The last thing I needed were self-righteous brigands harming the people."),
("npc19_personalityclash2_speech_b", "Cutthroat Boris is much too crude for me. I would say you have to choose between me and him, but the fact that you’ve kept him for this long causes me to doubt your abilities as a leader and your judgement in companions. I’ll not have my honour tarnished by a few of your men whom you can’t seem to keep under control.",
#Personality Match. Your character will have a friend. What kind of friend would they want, what would they say? You get two lines with this one.
("npc19_personalitymatch_speech", "Gehrin is simply a marvelous person - were I a bit younger or he a bit older, I would spend nights wishing he would court me. He has thought out responses, and is trustworthy. He’s a good man. I hope you keep that one.",
("npc19_personalitymatch_speech_b", "That Gehrin is a sharp one. He speaks well, but not too much. He would make a wonderful diplomat, but he seems to know what he is doing and what he wants to do, and he’s loyal. With good morals, too. I doubt there’s a maiden in the land worthy of him."),
#Retirement Speech. When your NPC dosent get along with the PC they leave, when they do they give a brief speech.
("npc19_retirement_speech", "We’ve had good times and bad, but I think it’s time for me to move on in life. Perhaps I’ll see you around the land. I think I will attempt to run for a new position as a diplomat. It is a profession that involves much fewer ruffians, if you’ll take no offense."),
#Rehire speech. After some time passes the NPC respawns in radom tavern to be rehired. If the PC talks to them again they have a special dialog.
("npc19_rehire_speech", "Oh, quite a piece of work this is! I was rehired, but they attempted to take advantage of my skills yet again! This time I had the foresight to quit! I wish to rejoin your company, if you’ll have me. I quite miss the taste of food on the road, the smell of blood in the air, and the air of protection."),
#Home speech. The NPC has a trigger tied to a location. When the NPC is near it, it starts a dialog. Usually it talks about home. You could however, use it to talk about a hated rival who lives in a town, or a former lover, or a tasty yogurt shop...or something. Here I use it to humanize the character, and hint at her unspoken thoughts.
HERE
("npc19_home_intro", "Ah, yes, back in the heart of the great Republic."),
("npc19_home_description", "Oh, I’ve had my bad times here, that’s true, but really, you can’t escape the bad. See that knoll over there? That’s where I managed to talk a bandit who was trying to rob me into giving me HIS money. Oh, that was quite a day. And I used to climb that tree when I was a girl, though ‘tis but a stump now. And look, over yonder, on that wall is where my first courter met me."),
("npc19_home_description_2", "Oh, what a land full of memories. But I’ll make all the more, and continue to gain the most out of this ephemeral life we’re all presented with. Though I wouldn’t mind showing you a site or two more; if you look to your left you can see..."),
#Home recap. From the party screen you can ask a question of your party member of their past. They briefly summarize their intro.
("npc19_home_recap", ""My name is Angela. I used to be a diplomat for the Republic of Marina. Shall we move on? I know we have more pressing matters than my life story."),
#Honorific. A title the NPC uses to refer to you as. These are things like, “Boss”, “Kid”, and the famous “Laddie...I mean captain”.
("npc16_honorific", "Esteemed leader"),
#King Support. Your NPC can be asked by the PC if they would support them as a king or queen.
("npc19_kingsupport_1", "If you want to be king, you're certainly starting well - people will resist your kingship more the less they've heard that you"),
("npc19_kingsupport_2", "Fortunately for you, I happen to know a good number of people who are good at starting rumors. I’ll go and meet a few of them, and your career as king will be off and running in an instant! Oh, and do hold elections; though you are a great leader, it’s always good to hear the voices and ideas of others.")
("npc19_kingsupport_2a", "King? The commoners ought to have no say, eh? Just you and your crown and their coin. There shan’t be a king."), #Abelli
("npc19_kingsupport_2b", "Oh, isn’t that nice. You wish to be king. Go to the Republic and get elected to something. Kings and their supporters ought to go to Calradia. So go on, back to your homeland. Be king there."),
#King support objection. Your NPC will object to a cetain idea, that is proposed by another NPC for some reason. You wont know what the idea is, or who the NPC who proposed was. You can still write dialog for the situation. Abelli would be complaining about “Droit de seigneur ”(look it up) or something.
("npc19_kingsupport_objection", "If you’ll accept my rejection, no, I’d rather not support you as leader of a country. It’s nothing personal, just for the common good. You’ve made a good number of bad decisions, and when a ruler does that, the people pay."),#Abelli
#Spy mission. You can send your NPC on a mission to a certain location to find intel.
("npc19_intel_mission", "Dear {Playername}, I could not help but overhear your desire to learn more about {s18}. Perhaps my golden lips will loosen a few others."),
#Fief acceptance. When you give your NPC a fief, they have an acceptance speech.
("npc19_fief_acceptance", "I’d be a fool not to accept {s17}, wouldn’t I? This trust was not wrongly placed, I assure you. Well placed, it is. Well placed."),
#Woman to woman. This is a special dialog that happens if the PC is female has a good renown level and is not a land owner. Its a “Go get 'em girl. Dont let the Man keep you down.” kind of speech. If your character is male substitue the dialog with {!}.
("npc19_woman_to_woman", "We’re moving to a new age, the age of the woman. I don’t think we ought to enslave the men or anything along those lines, but we both fought hard for where we are. We deserve to celebrate and make the road more equally difficult for all."),
#Turn Against. If your NPC is given a fief, later rebels, and then comes against the PC in combat, they get the speech.
("npc19_turn_against", "Aye, good to see you again. I hope we can sort this out over a good drink, can’t we not? Perhaps at a time when we aren’t bound to take each others’ heads off. Ready yourself, for I’ll be a tough one. A good test of your skill, if you will."),
