For Steam it's X:\Steam\SteamApps\common\mountblade warband
Non-Steam, try right-clicking the shortcut -> properties.

I would ignore any instructions saying to extract directly to the data folder.
Extract the file in your download folder, then copy the extracted files/folder.
This will help ensure Vista/7 UAC doesn't bork it.

Sounds like the MP authentication will be changed to accept the Steam key, now they need to make an .exe that accepts it also for SP...
Maybe that's the easiest solution.

Refund is the only option, get it on sale via Steam and wait patiently for them to fix the key issue they are having.

Unfortunately that isn't working, they have a 5x5 key visible in Steam where the 4x4 should be.

Move %USERPROFILE% to D:, problem solved.

It is understandable that you are upset about losing your saves, but Taleworlds are unlikely to patch the game just for you.

If you think this is a serious issue then you should post it on the bug tracker, explaining how you think the devs don't know what they are doing:  here.

It's not a very fancy card, but should run it in DirectX 7 at least.

Try updating the graphics card drivers: here

The keys don't expire, have you confirmed it is correct? Ie try the key retrieval via the above sticky if you bought it that way.
Are you doing manual activation btw? Not tested recently but the normal activation was down for months.

If the key still doesn't work, I would email details to Taleworlds via : [email protected]

Also please don't try activating Warband with your M&B key, not saying you are, but it does happen.
M&B download is here in case you got the wrong one.

What browser?
Any toolbars or other addons installed in the browser?
What happens if you right-click a link and do 'Save Link As'? (Or whatever your browser equivalent it)
You could try another browser too, to confirm if that is the issue.

A "weak" CPU will not cause the computer to BSOD.
And overclocking the CPU to cure BSODs is just a moronic suggestion.

Screenshots or more information on the issue please.

Fixed.

Run 'dxdiag' and check the Display tab.
Updating the drivers for that would be a good idea, if possible.

You might want to try running the game in DirectX 7 mode to see if that workds, you can access this from the launcher.
