FORMAT ADJUSTMENT
In reaction to some suggestions, the tournament administration decided to slightly adjust the format. Instead of the top four teams making it to the knockout stage, now the top 6 teams will progress. The first and second placed team of the ladder stage will immediately advance to the semi finals, the other four teams will play for the remaining two semi final spots in two quarter finals. In case the ladder format doesn't sort the table properly, this will provide a counter mechanism whilst still valuing the importance of the ladder.

The tournament administration decided to go with San'di'boush as the fifth and final map for the closed map category. Our initial reason for not putting it in the map pool - the fear of the map being overplayed and boring in the eyes of most players - despite our policy to preserve the map types, quite obviously was unfounded seeing the result of the captain map vote. In order to maintain a balance of "true" closed/open and mixed maps in our map pool, we picked it over Naval Outpost, which we regard as more of a mixed map.
Therefore, the final map pool looks as follows:

CHRISTMAS BREAK
The tournament will be taking a break from Sunday, 24.12.17 to Sunday, 31.12.17. As players might have to travel on the days before the break to celebrate christmas with their loved ones, we ask captains to be flexible with scheduling during that week, the tournament administration is happy to provide any help possible to resolve potential disputes.

TRANSFERS
Each team may pick up up to two capped players from another team until the end of Week 4. A capped player is someone who has played in an official match already. This means transfers are allowed until the end of week 4, however they are limited to two transfers per team. This does not apply to players who have not yet played in an official match.

SYSTEM ADJUSTED
The system of the continued ladder has been adjusted due to the high amount of dropouts. Instead of Buchholz Points we'll be using a swiss style system for the remaining three weeks. Fixtures have been posted accordingly. My apologies for the delay.
