How do I import my character from vanilla M&B into Warbands?

I searched but I couldn't find the answer, can anyone explain to me how you do it?
And how does it work? You start from the beginning but you have the same level/stats? Or you also have your army and inventory?

Yep, you start from the beginning, no inventory though, so you may want to sell everything!

Just tested M&B, to Warband (1.112):

1) Run M&B, load save, go to Character, Statistics, Export...
2) Copy file ...\Mount&Blade\CharExport\mydude.txt to ...\My Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\Characters
3) Run Warband, import from above location.

Faces dont seem to work though.

dude it keeps telling me that i have successfully exported then when i got to Local disc c:/steam/steamapps/common/mount and blade warband/charexport. there is nothing there at all are the exports getting put somewhere else and i have editing mode on

Happend to me as well. I had to turn UAC off to get the txt file to show up.

*Disclaimer: Turn off UAC at your own risk. Dont eat yellow snow.

Faces work you just have to select the right skin, beard and hair. But the shape of the face remains.
