What's up with the knees?

What is wrong with all of the characters' knees in Mount and Blade?  It's as if they all have polio or something.  It's kind of disgusting when you look at it closely.  Is this ever going to be fixed?  This has been pointed out in a thread 'way back in 0.632, so I don't know why it's still a problem.

I think he's talking about the mismatch between the knees and the footwear that sometimes happens in various poses? They don't join up properly.

Actually, it happens with all armour, but is especially noticable when wearing no armour.
