Unit stats just suck, your Regiment have skill or not thats all.

Or you make all Line Infantry even and Skrimishers even. Cav and rest is ok for different stats.

I guess no one has done any research on this unit...

It is called game-balance 

the old guard was the most feared unit in the Napoleonic time period... their stats should be higher than the coldstream guards.

Mkay that's why they were beaten by standard British Line infantry at Waterloo. Let's make it 100% historically accurate and have the french reloading their muskets painfully slowly & the British reloading theirs incredibly quickly (British troops could fire faster than anyone else, even the prussians, at the time).

Lets have it so that if you have Wellington you cannot lose because he never did.

Yeah lets destroy gameplay for historical accuracy.

P.S Coldstream Guards were just as good if not better than the Old Guard.

Your foolish nationalism lost you your empire, in case you forgot.

I've heard all the line regiments now have the same stats... is that true/confirmed?
