How about trade quests that would give trade experience to players seeking the perk 'everything has a price'? These quests would require the player to have certain a level of trade skills and some of the perks that we get along the way would solve these quests. Maybe even some of the quest evolve our caravan.
A notable or vassal would give the quest or even seek out the player for this quest. Something like buy something from one and selling to some else but their would be raiders to fight or some other type of party. Or if factions are at war the notables can't easily trade so they will pay the player to sell to towns of opposing factions. Quests like the herd quest or art of the trade can give minor amounts of trade experience or their could be grander version of such a quest. These could be moving huge amounts of different items to notables for extra profit because supply and demand or quest that can cause an increase demand artificially due to different notables in different places or even lords having a trade conspiracy. Investing, borrowing and loaning money could be a thing to gain trade experience.
