Team Speak - Server Info and Rules - Steam Group - Join our Clan

Welcome to the Stewardship of Gondor. Argalen rules the realm of Gondor. We are the remnants of the Clan called Protectors of Gondor, which disbanded. We have decided to go a different route with our clan, because we have not been the best we can be in the past. With this new clan we are striving towards a new future. Our clan’s structure is built on a system that is fair to all members. This system is explained more down below. We have two servers called The_Realm_of_Gondor and are open to all players, unless a privet clan battle is taking place. Feel free to join us in our Team Speak if we are having a public Event.

Our Law is set up to be fair to all members. The Steward is the supreme rulers of the Gondor Clan, but he has set up a Leadership council to aid him in ruling matters in the Clan. The leaders are the General and Captain of Gondor and their Sergeants, they deal with complaints within the clan as well as leadership complaints. The Leadership Council will try their best to help with any matter that concerns our people. Furthermore, once you are accepted into a division you have the right to a fair trail with that council and the Steward if the action in question may result in your removal from the Clan.

Our Army is build up of Infantry/Archers and sometimes a small unit of Cavalry,  which is lead by our fearless General and Captain of Gondor. This structure is what differentiates us from other clans, because you have lots of choices, depending on your style of fighting. The infantry/Archer division is also split up into smaller squads that are lead by a Sergeant of Gondor. Each squad is unique since the training is done separately. The Sergeants are following orders from the General and the Captain of Gondor in battle but will give orders to their squad independently.

Infantry
The Realm of Gondor has fought numerous wars against numerous enemies. Their Soldiers are very experienced in the arts of war and fighting, and the citizens of Gondor are all expected to earn their keep when the horn of Gondor sounds. Most of the brave men of Gondor are trained and well experienced in the art of battle, armed with a solid metal shield and a steel longsword. For centuries, the kingdom of Gondor has relied on the strong traditions of these trained infantry men. When the storm clouds begin to gather once again at the end of the Third Age, most of the Gondorian Infantry eagerly anticipate the opportunity of serving their country with arms in their hands.

Archery
Although these archers are not as skilled as Elves, nor do they wield the fabled hollow steel bow of the Numenoreans, they should still be a force to reckon with. The strength and stature of these archers means they can shoot a Longbow with ease. Armed with a sword and get some training as a Gondorian Infantry man, they fear few enemies and are expected to fend off most attacking infantry.

Cavalry
Horsemanship has never been the main interest of the Gondorian army. Often they've received mounted aid from their allies, the Rohirrim in the west, who are unmatched when it comes to the art of fighting from horseback. But the Gondorian army do however understand that cavalry is an important part of any army, and will usually deploy a unit of Gondor Cavalry when the need arises. They are good trained horseman, and since the horses are heavily armored, they are somewhat slower but powerful.

Steward
A long line of hereditary Stewards governed the realm after the disappearance of Eärnur, son of Eärnil, since there was no proof that the last king was dead, and no claimant had enough support to be accepted as his successor. The line of Anárion was held to have failed, and Gondor was not willing to risk another Kin-strife, which would surely have destroyed it.
So therefore the Steward became the supreme Rulers of Gondor. In the Clan we have Steward Argalen ruling this clan with the help of the leadership council. You can Identify our Steward in game by the screen shot below.

Our Stewards in game tag is:  Argalen_Steward_of_Gondor

General/Captain
The General of Gondor is appointed by the Steward. The General is responsible for organizing of readiness of the Army and the activities related to the success of the army. He proposes to the Steward, tactics and training exercises for the Army in order to prepare the operational plans for battle.
The General of Gondor is in charge for the preparation of general financial planning of the military, for the identification of operational goals and for all scope and operational activities related to staff the Army. Subject to him, there is one Captain, and 2 Sergeants witch are independently in command of 2 squads in the infantry. The Captain is the Generals second in command and will take over his command if needed.

Fountain Guards
They wore a uniform of black robes and black surcoats, embroidered in white with a tree in blossom under a silver crown and many-pointed stars. They also wore black scarves over the bottom part of their faces. Their helms were high-crowned and pointed, with long cheek-guards fitting to the face, and above these were set the white wings of sea-birds to honor their seafaring Númenórean heritage; the helms were Mithril and heirlooms from ancient times. While they were Númenórean in design, they were not in origin. Few helms escaped the Downfall, save perhaps those of Elendil (which became the White Crown), Isildur and Anárion.
The Fountain Guard are the most elite warriors of the White City of Gondor. They are the last line of defence in a siege and guard the white tree of Gondor. More so however they are the personal Bodyguards and squad of the Steward. They are charged with defending the Steward with their life and to always be at his side, even if it leads to their death.

Sergeants
The Sergeant of Gondor is appointed by the General. The Sergeant is responsible for leading the differnet squads in the Gondorian army. He proposes to the General, tactics and men need in training as well as battle tactics done wrong in the field.
The Sergeant of Gondor is selected from within the infantry/Archer ranks to ensure battle harden men to lead with honor and strength in the face of the ever growing enemy. He is loyal to the General in battle and will charge with him into Mordor itself, if needed.

General Rules of the Clan
The Steward:

The Steward is the supreme rulers of the clan. He can make laws, approve laws, disband laws, and recruit/kick players to and from the clan. He is also the Marshals of the battlefield. The Stewards will announce events and are allowed to promote and demote members.

The Leadership Council:

The Leaders are the Human resources of the Clan. They will manage member’s complaints and deal with them. That council consists of the General his Captain and Sergeants. They will have to be in agreement with each other if deciding on a clan matter. Each member will also be an ambassador between clans and responsible for organizing joint clan events. The Council will have regular meetings to bring up any problems and ideas to be heard.

The General:

The General is leading the infantry/Archer division on the battlefield. He will have the power to promote and demote members according to their actions in events. The General is also responsible for setting up Division training and joined training sessions within the clan. He is an admin on the Steam Group and on our full invasion Servers. He has the power to ban players from the server if they do not follow orders (and put on passwords for the server)

The Captain:

The Captain is the second in command of the Infantry/Archer Division on the battlefield. He has the same powers as the General but is only lower in rank. He is always found in the back of formations, to be able to take the generals place if he should fall. He is also a member of the leadership council.

Sergeants:

The infantry/Archer division is split up into smaller squads that are lead by a Sergeant of Gondor. The Sergeants are following orders from the General and the Captain of Gondor in battle, but will give orders to their squad independently. The Sergeants will choose the Members themselves but need final approval by the Stewards. Also, the Sergeant will host training sessions and personal events if needed. Contact your Sergeant if in need of training or being bullied by other members of your squad.

Squads:

Squads are units within the infantry/Archer division that are lead by a Sergeant of Gondor. Each squad is unique in name and structure since the training is done separately. The squads are made up of 6 infantry and  3 archers on average and will have events against each other to prove which squad is strongest. Also the ranking up of the units are done together, not as individuals, to promote team work and uniformity. If you are a new recruit and get put into a higher ranking squad, you will start at the bottom rank and your sergeant will promote you according to you actions until you have reached the same rank as the other members of the squad. This process is quicker than ranking up the Squad itself.

Active Squads

1.  The Osgiliath Born          ( Sergeant Norfindel)
2.  The Swords of Manwe      ( Sergeant Fish)
3.  The Dol Amroth Swans    ( Sergeant Brom)
4.  The Defenders of Anduin  ( Sergeant Ethral)

The Steward squad

1. The Fountain Guards        ( Steward Argalen)

The Laws:

* Follow your Commanders orders (If you have a problem with a commander contact your one of the leadership council member)
* Attendance to events on the weekend is mandatory (If you cannot make it to an event you have to comment on our weekly AoL thread in the discussion section of our Steam Group)
* No insulting other Clans while playing full invasion, ever!!!!
* No bullying other members (if you have a problem please contact you superior)
* If you are inactive for 3 weeks without notice you will be kicked from the clan (You can come back but have to re-start your career within the clan)
* In line battles, if you break rank you will be slain and if repeated you will be kicked from the event

Rules and rights for new members:

When you are accepted into our clan (that is when you are accepted into a division) you have to follow all our laws and regulations. You are also to follow orders from your Leaders without argument. You have the right to a fair trial with the Leadership Council and the Steward when being kicked from the clan because of your negative actions. Also you can talk to any of the Council members, or your superior in case you are being bullied. They will deal with it, and will try their best to help you. Talk to the Generals for help in training or you can also talk to your sergeant if you are in the infantry/Archer devision.

If you would like to join just fill out the questionnaire at the top of the page and one of our Commanders will contact you and we will then set up an interview in our Team-Speak. Once completed and passed you will be a full-fledged member of Gondor and are able to join one of our honorable Divisions.
