How to join!
You as a person is joining:
A daimyo's death is either of old age (retirement)
Or by Seppuku.
Seppuku can be demanded by the people after the Daimyo has disappointed them greatly in battle\trainings\meetings 3 times in a row.
(everyone can have a bad day)
A Daimyo will rule the clan until his death.
When a daimyo is dead his appointed heir will have first right.
But if the majority of the Regimental leaders doubt the heirs skill there will be a vote for a candidate.
The candidate must have the Rank Tashio, Samurai Veteran or higher.
When the Candidate is chosen there will be a new vote to see who will be the daimyo.
The votes will be sorted into points.
After the votes the Heir can either bow to the will of the people, or challenge the chosen candidate to a duel.
The winner of the duel will receive 50 points to his cause.
If a daimyo is killed by seppuku he can choose wether he want to take one of the "special ranks" Or join one of the regiments with a Veteran Title.
Or by Seppuku.

Family System!
Everyone has the right to be in a family, no matter what rank.
Though there has to be a limit.
you're aloud to have 3 sons
you're aloud to have 2 cousins
you're aloud to have 2 brothers
you're aloud to have 1 imaginary daughter (or a player if you find one willing, but she's not aloud to be a warrior)
This will increase in the future.
If you're in a family you must have a family name, a last name and a first name in Japanese.
You place the family name first, and the first name last.. (lolwut?)
Examples:
Oda Nobunaga
Mori Motonari
Family members does not have to be in the same regiment, you can have members from other regiments to.
If you're in a family you earn the respect and rank of your elders in a way.
Forinstance, if your father is a Samurai Respected or higher, and you're originally a Ashiguru, you are aloud to become a Samurai Hopefull and join a Samurai regiment because of your fathers name.
Though to go any higher you have to prove that you got the skills and not just the blood.
Families will also be living together on the Official Aki Province map which is under making.
Two families can be either good Friends or enemies, if there are two enemy families they might sometimes have a small war to decide their dispute, wether if it's for land, you feel the enemy family dishonoured your name.
In a family war you're aloud to recruit other regiments to join your cause.
The daimyo's job in a family war is to prevent the danger of a civil war within the Mori Clan.
The daughter of a family (wether imagonary or not) can be married away to another family to strengthen the bonds, or to ensure fair trade in diplomacy, ore unite the families.
The fun of it is to see how respected your family will be in the future, well respected family elders might be offered the rank as officer or retainer in the future, and members of a well respected family have a higher Chance of getting one of the "special ranks"
