It sucked? Yeah maybe when it was released, had some large bugs back then, nowadays it runs smoothly and has much more content. I tought it was quite fun to play, not as much grinding as WOW. Atleast not when i played.

From what I've seen LotR:O is very popular with recovering WoW addicts that have ditched the habit, because it's not as competitive and ruthless at the top levels as it is with WoW. It's relaxing, which is what a game is supposed to be, and which I think WoW seems to have mostly forgotten.
