"Rouse ye rows o' kilted warriors
Rouse ye heroes o' the North
Rouse and join your chieftains' banners
'Tis your prince that leads you forth!"

The news from Moidart cam yestreen

For ships o war hae just come in
And landed Royal Charlie.

Come through the heather, around him gather,
Ye're all the welcomer early;
Around him cling with a your kin,

The Highland clans with sword in hand
Frae John o Groats tae Airlie
Hae tae a man declared to stand
Or fa wi Royal Charlie.

Come through the heather, around him gather,
Ye're all the welcomer early;
Around him cling with a your kin,
For wha'll be King but Charlie?

Then here's a health tae Charlie's cause,
And be't complete and early;
His very name our heart's bluid warms;
Tae arms for Royal Charlie.

Come through the heather, around him gather,
Ye're all the welcomer early;
Around him cling with a your kin,
For wha'll be King but Charlie?

Come through the heather, around him gather
Come Ronald, come Donald, come a thegither;
And crown your rightfu lawfu King
For wha'll be King but Charlie?

The 27th (at the time Blakeny's regiment of foot) were at Falkirk ( :neutral:) and Culloden ( :twisted:). Fighting you Jacobites for King George and Country.

THE lovely lass o' Inverness,
  Nae joy nor pleasure can she see;
For e'en and morn she cries, 'Alas!'
  And aye the saut tear blin's her e'e:
'Drumossie moor, Drumossie day,
  A waefu' day it was to me!
For there I lost my father dear,
  My father dear and brethren three.

'Their winding-sheet the bluidy clay,
  Their graves are growing green to see;
And by them lies the dearest lad
  That ever blest a woman's e'e!
Now wae to thee, thou cruel lord,
  A bluidy man I trow thou be;
For monie a heart thou hast made sair,
  That ne'er did wrang to thine or thee.'

Sounds sweet I am a Jacobite to the core as my family fought with Bonnie Dundee in 1689 in the first war to defend our true King :smile: But if it must be Culloden time then so be it I will Still Cry Hey for the Bonnets of Bonnie Dundee!
