I'm interested in adding realistic mechanics, and this could be a good idea to play around with in the future; when I've got a chance, I'll see what I can do and then how well it works with gameplay. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!

That is very strange. It could be due to the sheer numbe of files being loaded (the mod is pretty big, so I'm almost certain it is the case); you are probably running out of memory, but without a 32-bit system myself I can't be certain.
What settings have you got enabled? Try bumping down your texture quality, or switching the 'load textures on demand' option on (Or off if you have it enabled) via your launcher.

Aye! That's a good idea. At the moment, work on the mod has come to a standstill more or less, due to me not having the time to work on it atm (Moving to the states in a few weeks), but after I've moved and settled in, I'll get working on the mod again. So, yeah, sorry about the lack of updates and general inactivity, though I can assure you, and anyone else with interest that the mod is not dead, nor is it going to die until after Bannerlords' release.
In the meantime, getting an event or two might be a good idea, and hopefully I can get the new map/s out soon.

In this case, this new map will be the core of Antoria and the Warriors of Heftan Tyran (Dissidents of Antoria). This means Muskets versus muskets, for the most part. Varlithinians (Or Elves, as some of you call 'em) and Orcs will also be present but small on the map, playing a small part but nothing major.
'The Heartlands' lay in the heart of Antoria, where the Empire is most densely populated and developed. The terrain is coastal, and marshlands sit below the cliffs facing the ocean. Above the cliffs, where most of the people dwell, the land is hilly and primarily heath, but a small amount of woodland is also present. The map will be rich in salt, fish and many different foodstuffs, such as oranges and apples, but resources such as ores will be lacking (though will be present until we have the 'connected' servers up and working), forcing players to move between maps to collect more valued resources.
Some early screenshots (very early, the map has only had a few hours of development so far).
Also Ignore the Fps, I've got my fps capped at 60, so the true fps will be considerably higher.

Also some good news. Nothing is borked with 1.2, so no need to worry about invalid props or what-not.
I've also just wipped up some new screenshots of the new map, though obviously the map is highly w.i.p, and there will be a lack of detail in a shedload of areas, and quite a bit of the map still needs work. It is focused on two or three factions, all human. So, hopefully should be quite a bit of gun warfare going on. Oh, and there will also likely be a small orc or bandit camp.
Also don't mind my fps; I've got my fps capped at 64 and I'm also in edit mode, plus running more than a few programs in my background, which will have a small impact on fps.

I'm sure if the mod was more aimed to realism instead of fantasy, it'd have it's servers filled with players. I'm not a big fan of fantasy, but I am a fan of realism. It's just like Persistent World, you want to play Warband without needing to end rounds or whatever. Same to Novum Mundus, you want to play Napoleonic wars with an endless and persistent round.
If you'd do a realistic Colonization Persistent Mod, it'd attract more players and regiments.

Thank you for sharing this opinion with me. I also feel that fantasy was totally unnecessary and only contributed to this mod's failure. I was initially excited about this mod; it seemed very promising. And then I learned that they shoved in Orcs and Elves. That's when my hope died for it.
It wasn't a wise decision to implement fantasy, in my honest opinion.

I agree with Duke_Tritus. The mod would probably attract more players if it was a realistic 1600-1700's Europe mod.
