My own kingdom suddenly disappears

Hi,

I've got my own kingdom, doing the things one does. However, today I suddenly experienced a bug where my kingdom all of the sudden disappears. It says my clan has left the kingdom and moments later it is destroyed. Other annoying things happen too, like all city mayors are "fired", and after running around for a while wondering what I should do I had a pretty hard game crash.

I have, of course, a bunch of mods installed so I have no idea what could cause this so I figure the best place to start is to ask if anyone else has experienced his and if there are any solutions.

I loaded the game from before the kingdom vanished, and this time I could play a bit longer before it happened again. Basically, I can load - play for a few minutes - then it happens again.

The only odd thing I've done recently that I haven't done before is to leave the game open (forgot it was running) at the bandit camp duel challenge for maybe 45 min. Doesnt feel like the kind of thing that would cause this, but it's the only oddity I can think of.
The game is about y 1090.

Hoping for some clues here. Thank you!

have you thought of the weird coincidence that this is a problem of one of the mods you are, of course, using and that we, of course, can not help you if you dont even say which?

maybe uninstall your mods and go from there.

Sure, that's a way to do it. I was just wondering in general if anyone else had experienced the same problem. Actually finding the issue is probably going to be harder and I wasn't trying to do that just yet, nor did I want to change my mods in case someone had a similar experience and an idea for things to try.

The reason I don't outright suspect the mods is that I've been playing for quite some time with the same mods, and this just appeared out of the blue. So I intentionally did not list all my mods right away.

These are the mods I've got, and "KillCounters" is the most recently added:

Some are probably higher up on the list of suspects, such as DestroyKingdom, KingdomPoliticsExpanded and Diplomacy.
However, after the kingdom disbands, I just let the game run for about a minute or two, it then fatally crashes. The crash report gives this stacktrace:

The crash report does not mention any involved modules.

I tried to prevent the problem by (using console commands) creating a new kingdom, but the same thing happens regardless it seems.

it's 99.99% a mod issue= an issue within the communication between mods or mods and vanilla. this can happen when mods or the game get updated. if you are running steamworkshop mods, then those mods get updated automatically quite often. such updates can cause issues.

i can confirm this is not happening in vanilla 1.2.4 and any other branch before.

Ok, I'll just get down to the dirty work of trying to isolate the culprit mod, while living with the knowledge that suddenly a mod is updated and the problem disappears by itself. If I do find anything I'll try to post it here, in case someone else has the same issue.

Couldnt find a particular mod that when disabled prevented the issue, so I disabled all but the main ones (harmony etc), and the graphics/units/equipment mods. Now it didn't disband the kingdom, it just went straight to the crash - same as stacktrace above.
If I disable all mods I cant even load the save, presumably because it's looking for things that are not there anymore. Things are not looking for for that save.

Did you by chance update the game version to the new update? If so, it's probably just 1 or more mods need to be updated to the current version, meaning you have to wait for the modders to update them and apply a patch to each one.

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised if that works. My game updates automatically so I haven't really kept track of the game or the mods updating.
