Clearly, I can't force you to do anything, but it's just that with all the other big mods, there are still people with interest in this and we don't want it to be forgotten.

Why can't you work on it? We have alot of tutorials around here.

Well, I can't do it all myself, and it seems that some people managed to do something, or at least talk about it. I figure if we got organized again, something could happen.

You could, but I can't keep a mod going, dagorkan lost interest, and most of the other prime modding talent is off doing something else.  So, you want to get somethign running, I can easily give lots and lots of suggestions, but as to coding?  I'm out.  Since I think asoiaf mod deserves more than just a reskin, you would need a lot of scripting.

I've found a few different websites with some really good illustrations of characters or scenes from the books. (My picture is Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane). I mean, I can learn to mod, I suppose, but anybody who can offer any sort of support at all would be appreciated.

I just read the whole thread so far, and it seems like Bigwig and Hobbie had something going. Are they still around here? Or will we have to start over?

If you want to start over, you should start a new thread with a more descriptive title. You should outline what your goals for the project are going to be, and maybe include a few teaser screenshots.

I'd also suggest getting the original modders involved. I'd be willing to help, but I'm just learning 3d modelling, so I don't know how much I can do. If there's a lot of interest, I can try to contribute from time to time, but I really promise anything else.
