Marrying daughter of cruel lord

You can also get a sort of quest from someone's relative.

Let's say me and lord Fouchier are on bad relations.

If I talk to his father, Duke Alamar, he might try to fix it by making  me get him a gift of velvet and furs.

That's the only other thing thats like that.

Your faction steward (companion/wife) will also give the quest to you.

But it doesn't mean the 2 lords in question will start getting along.
The quest may reset often but it will likely be the same 2 Lords every time.

Its better to let the Lords Elect your Marshal.
That is if you want to have successful campaigns.

If you talk to the wife of the lord, there is a raise relation quest there too.

But you have to be her Champion first...

It takes a bit of luck, alot of research and war or a tourney.
When Thier son is prisoner and you save him is the best way that I found. It gives +8 relations.
Also, if there is a tourney without a feast and you are not married, you can dedicate the win to the wife of a lord.
Example, Duke Alexis owns Rane and you start with -3 relations to him. Wait for a tourney and dedicate the win to his wife.
She will then be able to repair relations and you don't have to suck up to him through a quest.
