How do I connect to a server using their IP address

Hello every one I am Wyatt Earp. I bought Napoleonic Wars bout a week and a half ago. I love the Napoleonic time period along with other Musket related wars. My question is, as you can see, how do I connect to a server using their IP address? I am quite tired of playing on battles filed with shirtless sailors running around and jumping circles around you in hand to hand. And so I found out that tomorrow there is going to be a line battle going on. They provided their IP address to join but I don't know how to use it. I play Call of Duty United Offensive and all have to do is open the console and punch it in. But I have searched and searched but can't figure out how to NW. And help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Line Battles are organized by Regiments, there is no "Direct Connect" function in this game, if you don't mind me asking. Are you from the are of Europe or North America?

North America. From what I read in their post, they seamed to want people to come and play that battle with them to give it a shot and see how they like it.

Well the IP they gave you is probably an IP adress of their Teamspeak server, try connecting to a teamspeak server using that adress.
