If it's going to be an urban deployment again next time I'll introduce my character once you're deployed (if you don't mind). Otherwise I can be a late edition to the team before you head out.
 
So I'm at a point, where my character can go in several different ways.

One: he can stick with everyone inside the base.
A: Put in a cell
B: Allowed to roam around the base, but not allowed to leave.

Two: Gets drugged and returned to his apartment. Then is drugged again when needed, and wakes up in suit half an hour out from being deployed.

Three: Is flown back to the apartment, and is used to transfer top secret messages to base from Corporate.

Howdy guys, I've been absent for a week or two and I've just stumbled across this and colour me very interested. Am I too late for the joining process? If I am then, that's a shame, but, if not...

Description: Sven stands at six and half foot out of his H.U.N.T.E.R suit. Full of rippled and slab like muscles he isn't a pretty man to look upon. A square jaw and narrow grey eyes he is a canvas of scars and tattoo's. Tribal images adorn his body and down his arms are inked arm rings. Around his neck is a golden torque and tattooed over his left eye is SSG.

Former Occupation: Särskilda Skyddsgruppen (Special Protection Group, SSG)

Current Occupation: H.U.N.T.E.R Unit, a Seek and Destroy operative.

Weapons:  TH-651 'THUMPER' Heavy Machinegun. A carbon bonded steel axe strapped to the side of his suits armoured backpack.

Equipment: DREADNOUGHT unit armour, bio-sign scanner and a homing beacon for ammunition drops.

Bio: He is one of the more 'able' units, used in only extreme circumstances where a 'no prisoners' policy is to be maintained. He joined the Swedish armed forces through the conscription act at the age of 17 where he towered over most grown men and his arms were corded like sail rope. It was only natural progression that saw him progress into the Särskilda Skyddsgruppen (Special Protection Group, SSG) where he was considered a 'black operative'. Counter-terrorism became a specialty of their specific unit and political sabotage. Sven earned a reputation for being utterly merciless and relentless, giving him the nickname Jorgamundr, for the Death-Serpent coiling Yggdrasil, the tree of life, in Norse mythology. On the day of his 29 birthday he was spirited away by a black limo and a suited man with a red briefcase. It seemed he'd been selected for another promotion, only this time, the promotion included a more than personal addition.

There were some initial problems surrounding the UNC upon implantation and for almost a year Sven was held in a comatose state while the surgeons employed by Life Style Industries fought to stabilize his body and find a secure basis to bring him back around. Through a mix of genetic engineering and Sven's sheer tenacity for survival he survived the process and came out the other side with superior skills to those of his natural self. Able to withstand utterly staggering amounts of punishment to his body, Sven breezed through every test put to him except those of agility. It seemed with the installation of the Ultra Nexus Core and the heightened endurance, his agility and speed had been sacrificed to almost drastic levels. He is incapable of any thing more than a leisurely jog. However, this compromises him rarely as when armed in his H.U.N.T.E.R suit and carrying his specially modified GAU-8/A Avenger 30 mm, hydraulically-driven seven-barrel Gatling-type rotary cannon, he doesn't need to retreat.  He clocks in at just over a ton in all the specifically bonded armour, a combat suit stamped, DREADNOUGHT, simply for its capacity for destruction and defense much like it's naval counterpart.

With the coming of the rifts and the heightened activity of 'demons', Sven has been bumped to active status and released from the training bunker he was held at in Sweden. He has been put under the direct command of Commander Cross and has only one agenda. Destruction.

Augmentations and Side-Effects: Super-human endurance and constitution, an almost steel like bone structure. Side effects is severely reduced speed and maneuverability.

Svenska being what we Swedes call Swedish as a language.  ^^

Description:        tall, muscular (for a female) and borderline androgynous - athletic is probably the most flattering description.  Facial scarring, light but noticeable.
thick dark hair cropped short, and a quiet, persuasive charisma - she's not in Hitler's league for rabble-rousing, but she can certainly carry an argument better thasn most.
Former Occupation:        heavy metals refinery crew.
Current Occupation:        mining industry specialist rescue
Weapons:                      Flare pistol -  can fire military-standard rifle grenades, flares, smokebombs, etc.  Chainsaw (750mm bar. 3Kg. 12000 RPM. sharp)
Equipment:                    20 assorted flares, smoke/dye bombs. 2 spare chains and chainsaw maintenance kit.  Rope bag including rescue harness and pulleys, 100m rope rated for 3,000Kg breaking strain.  All carried in a large black holdall, which is attached to the rescue harness (she's wearing it).  She's currently dressed in olive-green fire-retardant overalls with copious pockets and broad dayglo stripes. (Her job description is rescue...)
Bio:                        after leaving school and failing the firefighter entry exam, Bundie took a job in an experimental lead refinery.  She soon moved to be a rescue-specialist, and was head-hunted by PACRim Rescuecorp, and given a role in their primary response unit (Asia/Australia).  Since the sad reality was that half their 'rescue' ops were hostage cases she has undergone strenous paramilitary training, even though her first instinct is always to preserve life.
PACRim Rescue were mobilised by Tokyo Power to assist with the rescue of staff from two nuclear plants that had been 'devastated' by the earthquake accompanying the opening of the rift.
Augmentations and Side-Effects:  Bionic heart and lung set. (5 years ago).  Experimental lead refining almost killed the entire crew, and only the medical intervention of mass augmentation saved the company from any embarrassing deaths.  Bundie has a near-endless supply of oxygen to her bloodstream now, allowing her to perform any physical activity at top intensity for a long time - the downside is that her body has no natural fatigue to limit the strain, and when her muscles finally run out of calories, she collapses in devastating cramps.  Five years though, have taught her how to control her body, and she knows when to stop and find some energy-food.

I do desire that. I think I've been too lenient on people introducing their own technology, in order for this RP to play out according to the main storyline I can't have people showing up like "Oh em gee yoo guise, I haz big gunz!"

Well I was hoping that Cross/Incaa would be down at the armory or something like that, but if not then... Fine ill modify it tommorow :smile:
 
Eh, my dude has a massive gun because he's huge and slow. Wouldn't be proper to have him tottering along with a sub machine gun now would it? :p

By all means, I can change it if that's what you want and wait to be issued a proto-type weapon. I was just adhering to the rule-of-cool by giving my walking tank a gattling cannon.  :cool:

Fully understandable, Since you're not introduced yet you can just edit your character sheet to have the weapon you select from my (Almost finished) list of boomsticks.

Before posting a choice in the story thread, make sure you consider what type of armor your character is most likely wearing and check the 'Restrictions'. This is just to make sure there's sensible variation in the squad's weaponry.
