Bannerpage Mod: Troop to Companion Promotion and Challenge "Faction Leader" to a trial of arms quest bug

Hello, I hope this is the right thread to post this as I don't see Bannerpage on the mods section. I have 2 concerns regarding the mod. I've commented and messaged the mod creator on ModDB but my comments got removed and he didn't offer any solution just telling me there is no bug and that I am doing something wrong.

1. Whenever I get the event where you promote a troop into a companion, I can't continue and get stuck after giving him/her a name. It just says click left mouse to continue but none of the mouse and keyboard keys work.
I saw a similar problem for the Viking Conquest mod and the user just changed a line in conversations.txt to fix it. Can anyone check the code in mine to see if there's a problem? Below are lines 4600 to 4620 on my game.
I've highlighted the area (in bold) where I think the problem is. Right after he says his name, it says to click left mouse to continue but I can't proceed.

2. At the quest to challenge a faction leader to a trial of arms (given by a faction lady by choosing "Is there anything I can do to win your favor?"), when I get to the lord, there is no option to do this. I've tried choosing to have a friendly duel (no good) and using cheatmenu to force a duel(insult) but none of them worked.

Am I doing something wrong and can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

What do you exactly need, affirmation? You are not doing anything wrong because those are mod-specific bugs. If the mod's author censors you and does not acknowledge the issues, there is nothing you can do.

Not affirmation but potential solutions to the problems. That is why I've posted a part of the code wherein I think the problem probably lies (based on similar problems with other mods). I'm hoping that someone with knowledge to the code can help me with it since the mod creator doesn't respond to my queries.

Did you decompile the mod's source code? Its creator could be angered by the publishing of what had been envisioned by them to be closed-source, I assume.

No, I just copied the contents from the conversations.txt file. I don't know much about modding so I just looked at surface level stuff.

The problem was I didn't mess with any translation files, it was a clean install (download then extract) as I've said in our PM conversation.
The only thing I added was the 4gb patch which is included in the recommendations at the download page for the mod.

So please drop it.

I'll try to redownload the mod again and install it. If it doesn't work, I'll just drop it. Just a minor nuisance since I would've loved to use the feature.

And please do not assume that I was trying to create negative PR. If I did, I wouldn't contact you privately first before posting here. I also suggested a possible source of the problem - the conversations.txt file (which by the looks of it, is I'm wrong I guess).
Why would you also assume that I was decompiling the mod? I just looked at the conversations.txt file which you can easily access if you go into any mod folder. Is that considered decompiling?
In the first place, I only posted here because my comment on the ModDB page regarding the second question got removed.
I am not trying to sully the mod and your reputation. I posted this because I liked the mod (and is still playing it right now) and my experience would be better if the problems I mentioned are fixed.

Update:
It seems that the "challenge a faction leader to a trial of arms" only works if you're with the same faction as the one you're challenging (or the quest giver). It worked while I was playing as a mercenary for the faction though I can't say if it'll work if you're a full-fledged lord. I would suggest removing or disabling the quest if you're not part of the quest giver's faction or add a piece of dialogue saying so.

If you really have the issue, it for sure has nothing to do with the mod.
Maybe you have something binded to left click. Maybe something else, like WSE.
I dont have a clue.

I'm sorry to say I'm having the same issue, and someone else is reporting the same on reddit. Not trying to stir up anything---this mod is absolutely BEYOND amazing---but I'm having the same UI freezing after giving the new companion a name. Here's where it gets weird.

1. First time it happened, there was absolutely no problem. Named my guy, got a companion. 100% perfect.
2. Second time it happened on a new save, I accidentally hit the wrong dialogue option.
3. Third time, I was testing to see if it would ever trigger a second time in one save, I used cheats to level up quickly and get a huscarl, and it triggered no problem. This made me realize my second save would never get another chance, so I started another save.
4. Now, on the fourth save, the one I started specifically so I could raise a huscarl, it won't work :/ The game doesn't freeze--the newly named companion sways back and forth, but no button triggers anything. I just can't move past that screen.

No key bindings changed. I didn't touch any files. I don't know what could've changed between the first few times when it worked without an issue and this time when it simply won't work :/

Again, I love the mod! I just wanted to notify you that this may go beyond that one guy's individual problem.

EDIT: I re-installed the mod, trained up a Nord Recruit to a Nord Huscarl.... same thing. Freezes on the screen where he says his name.

I'm having the same issue on a clean install of M&B Warband and a clean install of the game. One of my Rhodok Sharpshooter is ready to turn into a companion and after I put their name in it just gets stuck at the "My name is..." and says left click to continue but i have t ALT+F4 because nothing works, clicking, trying to force a scene, changing to debugging, etc. I assume that its a script that just isn't working and the dialogue might be waiting for it to do it's thing since I edited the txt file for the dialogue and it didn't work either.

Is there a fix for this you know of if you know what this bug is? You are the creator and this is my first time ever using Bannerpage, been enjoying it greatly and better than any other native improvement mod. have came across no issues besides this one and only this one.
