well crap, the stupid facecrap links don't work for the pictures to show up

mail is heavier.
its about the same really as a breast and back plate.
i wore one a number of years ago and it was fine

15th century ranges a lot depending on early middle or late and where you are located. early 14th were more basenets and kettle helms. late were sallets etc.
