What is the plan for music? Instruments that could be period accurate (that pop up in my head right now)

As the focus is historical accuracy, it is probably best that the music is at least for the most part historically accurate. You will likely want to group the factions into cultures with different music. Most of this stuff is just assumption and interpretation, so there is plenty of room to mess around.

I was fighting with Takeda forces against a Tokugawa army. As I cut through a few yari-ashigaru I was attacked by a samurai that appeared identical to a Takeda Samurai Hero. I had a bit of identity confusion due to the elite Samurai on both sides with the same armour. I searched some towns and found the Tokugawa armour that the elite Tokugawa samurai should have been wearing.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Overall though, well done. I especially enjoy the music that you have added. If all is well and you want to continue, go ahead and do so. If you want to put effort into the mod, you might also ask phlpp if there is anyway to help. However I do not know if he has communicated anything about others helping him with his project.

Addendum: I also heard Bansai in battle. As I understand it this was only ever used after the Meiji period at least, probably later (Rising sun/Imperialism era). Otherwise, the sounds alone completely change my experience of the game.

Surely there would be complications to using material (mainly sounds) from Shogun II?

Yes, your arguments are exactly what I intended in "I understand why, but I just have a bit of a hard time accepting it.". Therefore I do not fail to recognize the equality and choice of women in this matter. Perhaps I should have elaborated in my initial statement.

I do not think that women should be bared from choice.

My use of the word 'dishonourable' is on the grounds of intending or causing means of intention to harm anyone, not just women. Hence: "I do not want anyone to have to deal with the kind of nightmare described in my signature, especially women."
