After further discussion amoungst the staff, we've decided to make the following changes to our ruleset and tournament;

Arys said:
§ 2.2 ROSTER RULES

Team rosters may not exceed 16 players.
Will be changed to:

Arys said:
§ 2.2 ROSTER RULES

Team rosters may not exceed 24 players.
The "exception" list has been removed completely.

We've also decided to completely remove the Draft and Free agency from the tournament, along with all the rules that it had. So you'll be able to add and remove players as you wish until the seventh week of the tournament.

Last thing I wanted to leave off with, the fixtures and bracket will be posted Tuesday night.

Greetings Everyone
After much discussion, the admin team has decided to re-instate Sjaelen as a consultant after a rigorous conversation about the roles of the admin team and the consultants had been made, in which the duties and limits were more clearly explained.

Few announcements!

Module has been released, the download link can be found in the servers thread and the fixtures thread. You can also just download it here.

credits to the illustrious, talented unciron for his lovely module

William is now a consultant not an administrator due to time constraints.

§ 2.4.2, also referred to as the "TAG" rule has been removed due to improved scripts.

The weekly schedule from the WPL has changed from Wednesday to Wednesday, it's now going to be played from Monday to Sunday.

So week four, will start next Monday.

New rule implemented, clarifying which team has which faction.

 • The higher placed team in the standings will receive the top spawn on the first set of each map. This means that the lower placed team will play the top spawn on the second set of each map.

We've updated our logo!

Thanks to the wonderful and great Sjaeles (that's me!) for the new, cleaner logo.

After discussion, the staff has decided to shorten the length of the tournament. The Warband Pro League will now have a seven week regular season, followed by a three week single-elimination stage (consisting of six teams).

How will the single-elimination work? The first and second seed teams of the regular season will have a bye for the first round of single-elimination, and the rest of the teams will battle it out in a quarter-finals match (3RD VS. 6TH and 4TH VS. 5TH), and well you know how it goes from there.

If you have any questions pertaining to this change contact any of our staff members.

Be sure to check the fixtures again, as some maps have been removed due to the change.

Sjaeles is now a administrator for the WPL, not a consultant. He was doing far too much for this tournament to be considered a consultant, and we needed an extra administrator for votes, etc.

After much discussion (lasting almost three hours), the administrative team has decided that rules;

Arys said:
§ 3 FORMAT

In the case of a tie for a qualifying position to the playoff stage the head to head system will be incorporated. In short if two teams are tied for a qualifying position, the team that beat the other will be the one taking the spot.

In case of a three way or more in which each team beat the other. The team with the most rounds will win out.
Must be interpreted as the following; because teams A (SG), B (tK), C (Unity) have not played each other, head-to-head cannot be used to break this tie, therefore rounds must be used to break the tie and determine the seeding.

Thus making the seeding for single-elimination, the following:

1. wK
2. TMW
3. KoB
4. GA
5. Unity
6. SG

Apologies from the staff for the inconveniences caused by the loosely worded rule, it's completely our fault and we'll try our best to not make a mistake like that again.

After further discussion amongst the administrative team, we've decided to implement the following rule under;

§ 2.2 ROSTER RULES
7. When the single-elimination phase of the tournament beings, teams will only be permitted to make two substitutions to their roster.
