The Nr.59 is a new regiment and is looking for recruits, we don't troll, and do not want trolls to join the game, we take the game seriously, while still just wanting to have fun and enjoy the comradery. We are a line regiment, join now by adding [Nr.59] Sandersr or Dukefan72 on steam, and send us a message saying that you are interesting in joining.
We are a line infantry regiment and are looking for active members. Our regiment is based off of a real Austrian regiment which fought in the Napoleonic wars period. We are an NA based regiment
History:
prompted by the threat of a Turkish and the second Turkish siege of Vienna was at that time the Lieutenant-Colonel Leopold issued Melchior Freiherr von Beckh of a patent dated 30 January 1682 to set up an infantry Regiment of Foot. The regiment should consist of ten companies , the rod and "Prima plana" [6] or about 2040 man made.
Since it was not possible to get through to this recruitment workforce, the existing regiments had officers and men leave in order to achieve the desired target thickness in about and so to make the regiment ready for use.
End of May 1682 could in the meantime to colonels appointed Baron to complete the installation of the regiment of the Beckham. This Infantry Regiment "Freiherr von Beckh" [7] was the parent unit of the later kuk Infantry Regiment No. 59
In the age of the Baroque and the Enlightenment, the regiment recruited mainly from the Upper Rhine Circle of the Holy Roman Empire. Imperial troops had led to such privileged advertising rights. It was only in large fortresses barracks , which were not sufficient by far for a Garnisonierung the entire army. The regiment was therefore with 5 companies in low - and Upper Austria dislocated. In August 1805, the infantry regiment marched No. 59 on command SM Emperor Francis II for the first time in the now belonging to Austria Duchy of Salzburg one (the previous Archbishopric of Salzburg , the Archbishop had fled before Napoleon and his country had Austrian sovereignty passed).
After the withdrawal of the French regiment came in 1816 for the second time in Salzburg. After the final integration of the former Duchy of Austria by the Congress of Vienna , the regiment from the Archduchy was whether the Enns ( Upper Austria ) installed permanently in the city. So which has now become "was k k Infantry Regiment No. 59 "for the Salzburg house Regiment. On 3 and 4 November 1918 for Austria-Hungary of the First World War to an end. Parts of the regiment were at this time in Suganer Valley (Valsugana) and in the space of Belluno . These soldiers were marching as one of the few remaining intact associations to the north and were able to successfully evade capture.
The last stop was Salurn ( South Tyrol ), where the regiment made from the end of October 1918 for peace and order in the country. Many assaults and looting on the part of the marching northward resolved and marauding associations were forbidden by the regiment. The Rainer tried to eliminate the chaotic conditions, and took care of protection and food for the population in southern Tyrol. Only when Italian troops crossed the frontier, the regiment returned as a cohesive unit to Salzburg. There arrived at his last regiment commander Colonel Richard of Schilhavsky on 10 November 1918.
With the on November 12, 1918 began resolution in the 236 years ended in the history of this old-Austrian regiment in Salzburg.
