I cant find the wyvern riders anymore. I brought them to Schmalkalden while it was my factions fief. Does this affect it?

I escorted them to Schmalkalden and then they dissappeared and i cant find them anymore. When i talked to the Dragon Priestess in Reichberg, all i say is i will escort them to Schmalkalden
I think that quest is bugged.
This was something quite heavily discussed earlier when the version came out. I think the quest is only bugged if the player starts in Schmalkalden. If you start in any other town at the beginning, then you should be fine.Murderer said:

I've got the same problem. I wasn't in Schmalkalden when I started. I got the quest, found the wyvern group outside of town, we went to Schmalkalden, they disappeared (inside the town, I assume) and now the quest doesn't finish.

This quest can be finished ONLY with one way -
I finished this quest first time when started in Schmalkalden, but that way.
escort wywerns WITHOUT attacking hostile party, then AFTER you brought wywerns to destination destoy hostiles (wywerns join you in battle anyway... somehow) and after that go to questgiver.
That's how I did the quest and everything was fine.T.L.S. said:

or you can start in Hakkon lands and the quest will work even if you fight other parties while escorting the Wyvern Riders
