It's not perfect but you can see the difference in the left (your one) and the right (my one). With icons, it's important to remember that clarity is more important than accuracy. Brighten the colours and raise the contrast a bit. Try to make each element as vivid as possible. The sharpening tools are your friends. Also make use of level and saturation adjustment.
EDIT2: Here's my EU flag (on the right) again next to yours (on the left)
Again neither are perfect but you can see on mine the stars are arranged in a clearer circle and the colours are clearer.
