Let's try this again...
Welcome to North America's next major battle tournament, United North American Championship (UNAC) hosted by Calamity and William.
UNAC ruleset was decided by the community, for the community. It is a compromise between CAL, BiT, and NANL.
There will be a round robin for the beginning portion of this tournament. It's the expectation that one match will be played every week. The deadline for every match is Sunday at 11:59PM Central.
Signup phase starts NOW, and ends on the 13th of July. You can begin playing matches starting July 14th.
Note: Some of these rules are still being tested and may change. Also, maps have not been decided. Coming soon.
-Each team must represent at least one official NA clan, International (including NA) clan, or a reasonable organization. An official clan is one that has a TaleWorlds thread located in the Clan Hall and one that has an active member base (essentially, if the clan is not dead). A reasonable organization is, but not limited to, a country, a team from a previous tournament, a Free Agent team, and a group of casual players. There may be multiple teams representing one clan.
-Teams must have at least 7 members to register, with no maximum team size.
- Each team must designate a Captain to handle all issues with the tournament for their team and a Co-Captain to do the Captain's job when he is not available.
-There will be a free agent list (not mercenary list), of members who wish to belong to a team.
*If any changes or substitutions need to be made by a team after the start of the league, they need to contact the Calamity or William about the change. The team must wait 24 hours before the changes take effect.

-Rankings in this stage will be determined by set wins. ( Team A wins the first swap on nord town 5-4, they have 1 set. team B wins the second set 5-0, they have 1 set, the score is 1-1. Standard 2 maps played.)
-There will be two maps with two sets of rounds each match. Each set will be played first to five.
-Each week, two maps will be randomly chosen from each category (closed/mixed/open), resulting in a pool of 6 maps. Captains may only choose maps from the current week's pool. The same map may not be in the pool two weeks in a row. The maps will be selected on the Saturday (day before) the current weeks matches begin.
-A duel must take place on Arena, in the center of the map. Both teams must post their selected duelist 24 hours before the match starts in this thread. A backup must also be posted. These duels MUST be completed by 10 minutes after the selected match time. Failure to complete the duel by 10 minutes will result in attacker/defender getting randomized.
-Winner gets to choose attacker or defender. The defending team gets first selection for map and spawn. The attackers then choose their faction, and the defenders choose theirs. Factions may not be mirrored, nor may they be reused on the second map. The category of the map selected may not be picked from again by the defending team (see map categories below). Maps may not be repeated. The second map is chosen by the attackers, who also pick their spawn. Defenders choose faction first on the second map, and attackers choose faction second. Again, no repeated/mirrored factions are allowed. The attacking team may pick from the same category as the defender's first map choice. Random plains may be rerolled up to 3 times if the team that picked it does not find the generated map satisfactory. In the event that a roll of random plains contains excessively hilly terrain, then the map must be rerolled until no cliff texture is present (grey rocky ground on the sides of steep hills) in an unmodified version of native Warband. This does not count as one of the 3 rerolls.
-Teams are required to field at least 7 players. If there are more than 7 players per team that attend a match, then both teams may field a maximum of 8 players. Both teams must match players.
-Substitutions may only occur during a break in between sets. If a unexpected drop out happens during a set, the other team does not need to drop a player.
-The team with the most set wins after the second map is completed wins the match.
-Tied rounds will be replayed.
-In the event of a tied match, the teams will not compete any further. Their scores will be calculated as is.
-In the event of a tied ranking (which will alter the choosing of the top 4 for the Single Elimination stage), the team with the highest number of match wins will be chosen first. If the match wins are tied, then the team with the best set win/loss ratio will be chosen first. If all of this is tied then they'll have a special tiebreaker match.

The top 4 ranked teams of the Round Robin Stage will advance onto the Single Elimination Stage. Each week a team will face a designated opponent. If a team is defeated, they are eliminated from competing. The team to win all of their matches will be deemed the Champion.
- Advances in this stage will be determined by match wins.
- There will be two sets each match. Each map will be played first to five.
- The team with the higher seed will select attacker or defender status. Attacker status picks faction, while defender picks map and spawn.
- Teams are required to field at least 7 players. If there are more than 7 players per team that attend a match, then both teams may field a maximum of 8 players. Both teams must match players.
- Substitutions may only occur during a break in between sets (4 rounds). If a unexpected drop out happens during a set, the other team does not need to drop a player.
- The team with the most sets wins after the second map is completed wins the match.
- Tied rounds will be replayed.
- In the event of a tied match, the teams will compete on a third map. This map will be played as if it was any normal map.
- In the event of a tie on the third map, the team with the highest round wins will win the match. If there is a tie with the amount of round wins, the match will need to be rescheduled.
-Khergit is not a usable faction.
-No Roster substitutions or additions during the single elimination tournament.

If there is a match dispute by either participating team during any match, the administrators will review it privately with the team captains. If no solution comes of this, the administrators will decide whether to redo that match under Administration Supervision or to leave the match alone the way it is. If the match dispute occurred during the match, both teams must finish the match and contact an administrator afterwards. If the dispute could have been easily solved by reading the rules, then the teams will receive a warning. If either teams have a similar match dispute where rules would have fixed the situation, they will receive penalties.
Violations of the rules above are punishable by the Administrators of the tournament. The list of cheats below are also punishable by the Administrators. Punishment will be decided and enforced after the Administrators have a meeting with the party(ies) involved.
Cheats:
- Altering files for an advantage. Cosmetic changes, such as round timers and crosshairs, do not count.
- Exploiting glitches on maps. Glitches are defined as areas in match which, if exploited, gives one team an advantage over the other that was not intended by the map maker.
- Joining the team's TeamSpeak channel or team under an alias during any time the team is considered to be working for the League.
- Anything deemed as cheating by Administrators unanimously.
To check cheating and other violations, Admins will monitor teams suspected of cheating/violating very closely.
