CORRECTION: TaleWorlds Napoleonic Wars Forums will NOT be removed

Hello Napoleonic Wars fans,

Just making a post to clarify that the Napoleonic Wars forums on TaleWorlds will not be removed. FSE will still be setting up their own forum but this one is staying as it is. Sorry for any confusion and/or apocalyptic chaos caused.

A large part of the community has already adjusted to the transition and moved to the new forums. The current Napoleonic Wars forum on Taleworlds will no-longer be frequented by the FSE developers, administration or moderation team, as these will be preoccupied with work on the FSE forum.

While we advise against keeping the TW NW boards open as it may cause problems for community members seeking server side support, as well as new visitors, who would probably have to be redirected for help elsewhere. Yet we respect Taleworlds decision to maintain their own Napoleonic Wars board.

We are happy and able to continue providing full support for Napoleonic Wars from our current forum, and would appreciate if you could direct people to our new forum:

Will be moving the NW modding threads in the Pioneer's Guild back because some requested a move to there, fearing the board removal. That won't be a problem anymore.

That was mostly an answer to MaHuD, who had wanted his NW Mod thread for Zombiedämmerung be moved to the Pioneer's Guild, so it wouldn't be lost when the NW: Released Mods board was removed.

Forcing customers to make two accounts on two different forums in order to receive technical support or support in general for one game is stupid and should have never even been considered.

They could as well just link the other forum. So that would not be necessary?

He considers Warband+NW to be one game, that's his reasoning. Though what he doesn't understand is that the forums are not for customer service. There is a support email for that. Forums are just for community interaction, no one is being forced to join a forum for community interaction.

It is possible that Taleworlds wants to have forum boards on their forums for their games as well.

It wasn't so much that we changed our minds as it was a delayed decision. We spoke about it in the office and decided that as it's a Warband DLC, we should support it by hosting and maintaining a forum here.
