Welcome to the Napoleonic Wars Regimental Linebattle Tournament. We would like to welcome you to and introduce the Regimental Linebattle Tournament, hosted and founded by the 63ème Régiment d'Infanterie and Welly's 37th Regiment of Foot. The Regimental Linebattle Tournament aims for a community in which players strive to be better for themselves and for their regiments. The tournament aims to improve inter-regimental relations in a fun, yet competitive fight.
The Napoleonic Wars Regimental Linebattle Tournament is based on Welly’s vision to create a tournament within the Napoleonic Wars community to see who is and reward the best linebattle regiment of all.
We welcome any regiment that wished to participate and prove themselves worthy of the title.
Time and date:
October 29th - November 5th First Week of Linebattles
Further Information:
The organizers will work with each individual regiment to arrange the most appropriate time/day during the week to have the linebattle. Regimental opponents will be chosen at random and are NOT an arguable topic for any attending regiment. The winner of each specific linebattle is determined by “Best of 10”, meaning the regiment to win the most out of 10 rounds wins the linebattle, if it is 5-5 then 1 more round will be played to determine winner, called tiebreaker. When a regiment forfeits for any reason the opponent regiment will be declared winner and advance to the next round. Specific Rules about the linebattle can be found below. The maps will be PRESET and/or predetermined, there will NOT be any custom maps. The maps will be flat Random Desert/Plains maps. Admins will do their best to make sure each map does not give a specific regiment a tactical advantage or disadvantage. Bonuses shall NOT be enabled during the linebattle and we encourage all participating members to go ranker or officer.
Regiments who win a certain battle will advance to the next round, where they will face their next opponent. When defeated a regiment will lose their position in the tournament and will have to wait until the next tournament is organized. When a regiment loses the first round they will continue in the secondary league. All regiments that were defeated in the first round will participate in the secondary league. The finals will determine who will get 1st and 2nd place in the tournament, also a linebattle between the losing regiments in the semi-finals will be held to determine the 3rd place. In the secondary league there will be an award for the regiment that gets 1st and 2nd place. You will find the awards and signatures down below. Only regiments that participated and match the requirements of the awards and signatures are allowed to wear them.

Team and In-Game Rules:
1. If a regiment does not meet a consensus to have the linebattle during the week given by the organizers, they will be disqualified .
2. Regiments may bring up to 10 members to participate in the linebattle and a maximum of 2 ‘back-ups’ incase a member disconnects or turns AFK.
3. When a member disconnects or turns AFK the map shall NOT be reset and the regiment in question will have to complete the round before another member joins their ranks.
4. If you have more than 10 you MUST swap them to spectator or the admin will randomly slay (from low rank up) them. If you have less than 10 you may NOT ask for invites/mercenaries. You MUST have 10 men prior to the linebattle.
5. Invites/Mercenaries are not allowed, if a regiment brings invites/mercenaries to the linebattle under false names they will be disqualified from the tournament.
6. AFK members will be slain on regimental request by the supervising admin.
7. Members may only go regular line infantry. No foot guard, light infantry/riflemen, cavalry or specialized units allowed.
8. Firing in charge is ALLOWED.
9. Reloading out of line/in charge is NOT ALLOWED and those clearly doing so will be slayed.
10. Half-men gaps, spacing or loose formations are NOT ALLOWED and regiments ignoring warnings by the admin will be disqualified from the tournament.
11. Ramboing out of line is NOT ALLOWED and members should move directly towards their line when they find themselves alone on the battlefield and they may NOT engage the enemy. Members found doing so will be slayed.
12. Retreating is allowed and regiments are ALLOWED to retreat in an unorganized fashion, but require to form up as soon as possible. Admins will call upon regimental leaders to follow this rule when they delay returning to a regular line for too long.
13. Officer aiming is NOT allowed. If it is unintentional, i.e. the officer is behind the line during volleys, or something of that nature, and gets killed it is understandable. When this is not the case and an officer is shot, it will be up to the attending admin’s own discretion to decide whether it was a case of ‘officer aiming’. When determined that it was a case of officer aiming the regiment in question will receive one warning. If any member of this regiment officer aims again he will be slayed. You may ONLY shoot the officer while the enemy line is charging. Officer aiming only pertains the officers leading either line.
