Ok I just downloaded the game (Gamers Gate Version) and I already have the following bugs.

-Log in screen - text overlapping

-Multiplayer- Looking at my character he his just bugged - Face with white 3d body

- no way to validate your serial key - Keep on getting errors

- Opening single player/tutorial gives error box: Unable to open Modules\Napoleonic Wars\map.txt
- Custom battle gives the following graphics

and I just installed the game.... seriously come on! Do you even test the version before you out the game on sale....

 
It appears gamergate has a corrupted installer.

Also your warband is not patched.

I have notified gamersgate about this and their working on it.

Yes, Gamersgate seems to use the old Warband build, which will couse texture errors, crashes and all kind of other wierd stuff...

I guess they accidently uploaded the wrong version. Wait a bit, I am sure they will fix it soon.
 
To fix your game for now, you can use this incremental patch after you applied the patch to warband;

I did a clean install yesterday from GG and was even playing multiplayer this morning.  Looks like that the patches did the trick! However Multiplayer is still saying that I have an incorrect serial key.
 
We are sorry about that, Gamersgate should have uploaded the Patches before they released the game...
 
I just tried to add my serial i received from GG onto the profile on this sit and it says my serial is invalid. Can it be that GG have corrupted serials as well? Who do I contact with regards to this someone here or GG?
 
same problems.. I try to download the patches, will see. Also is it possible that the game runs/loads slower then Warband? or these performance issues only my problem :/

[Using an internet with download limit, and downloading every second hour or so will hurt my internet in the end of the month]

Mmm, Vince, tried that workaround myself.

1) Used the Warband 1.5 full installer.
2) Applied the hotfix.
3) Installed NW 1.2
(assumably the correct steps).

Crashes every time I attempt to give orders to my men in custom battle (specifically movement orders from what I can tell), so I'm not too sure if there are other issues aswell.
 
Will be working within the next few hours. Gamersgate released muuuuch to early...

You see what that couses, confusion, not up to date gamefiles etc...
