1.9.3 Preview Authentic Legions
1.9.3 Preview "Roman Fort"  stone/wood presentation and commentary by Adorno

Overview

A circular riding course and barracks in the back

Gatehouse to the left, commander's house in the centre and just behind that the stables.

A siege

Besiegers rush for the walls

Defenders are ready on the ramparts - and shed roofs

4 ladders are up

Overview of the battle

Roman Fort 2:

Overview:

The main road leading to the gate house:

Notice the earth banks supporting the walls on the inside. Simple and efficient:

The gate house from the inside:

A small amphitheatre inspired by the gyrus/cavalry training ring at the Lund fort.

Overlooking the stables and the commanders house to the left. And in the back the barracks.

Commanders house up close

There could be other buildings too like granaries, workshops, sewers etc. but since no native scene props fit very well I think this will do.
I hope it's believable, and the player gets an idea of how forts were designed and how life was at such a place.

Wooden Fort

Commander's house

Prison

Overview

Siege (low tier army, hence the many pitchforks)

1 Century AD Romans

1 Century AD Briton/Celts

Sig , use if you want to support the mod.

Fortune, which has a great deal of power in other matters but especially in war, can bring about great changes in a situation through very slight forces.

I am having the same issue as before. I get to the title screen and there are no options to click on and there is a bunch of red text....

I know this isn't meant to be strictly historically accurate but just replacing the Roman scutum shields and lorica segmentata would make this so much more in thread with the time of Roman Britain - though not completely accurate of course.

Other than that good job and a nice project, I would definitely play this if it even just remotely resembled period equipment.

Alot of new roman equipment is being made will take a month or more though.

It seems you the only one who's having this issue make sure you enable load textures on demand in options , and check if you install everything correctly I have no such issues after installing patch directly on top of 1.2 beta with Polished landscapes . Are you installing polished landscapes?

Explain how? I think the more glaring inaccuracy is the fact that Triarii, Hastatii, and Principes are in the mod as militia units even though they didn't exist during this period.

Where do you see  Principes ? I did not  know I added them, damn your 10 steps ahead of me and just like in my post in other thread I sad those with knowledge of this historical period should contribute no one sad anything, so now you have hastati and principes and omfgroflcopter triarii someone posted helmet models but refused to give them, at list Skandinav contributed some books I might even read some osprey thx to Scandinav or maybe I wont its a mystery  .

It's an error on my part(I assumed Principes would be included with the other 2) and I'm guessing not that many people have information about the setting. I said I will make the Agen helm an OSP when it's done , but I'm going through the process of trying to making a detailed plume+ getting my life back on track so it'll take a while. I think you should contact the RSII team about equipment info, other then that, I can probably list some equipment info.

Vympel said:
You sad names were inaccurate so give me names.

All that exist during this period are Auxilia and Legionaries as the main unit names. Hastatii, Principes, and Triarii died out following the Punic Wars and the Marian reforms. That's why RSII has 28 named legions with different equipment, to promote some unit diversity.
