Reworked Troop Tree Version 0.41a for the Expanded Floris Mod 2.41.



NOTE: Not savegame compatible with Floris Troop Tree. You have to start a new game.

0.41a Out-Now. Many more item changes. Also more horsevariants for Cavalary & many more. Unitcodes are now in the back of the names.

Some different Items and Units then in 0.4 (like surgeons and mercenary longbowmen. You can try both versions but only replace the troop and quickstring .txt´s of this version)

Installation instructions:
Replace the files from the Download to your:      mountblade warband\Modules\Floris Expanded Mod Pack  2.3        data folder. (The folderpath in which u placed the Floris Mod)

Version 0.41a Main Features:
- Many items like swords, shields, armours ect. changed.
- Replaced/New Units and Troops. Most units from original Floris Mod got item changes.
- Low tier Units like I1 and I2 have no more shields except for Nords and some Swadian and Vaegir units.
- New Mercenaries. (Old Mercenaries are now called Hospitallers)
- All Factions have now their "own" shieldtypes. (to differ factions)

Swadia:
- Swadians represent in 0.4 an English Faction.
- Swadians use now only normal heater and kite shields
- New/replaced light infantry unit tree.
- Replaced/New Units and Troops.
- Many Item changes.

Vaegirs:
- The Vaegirs use now only long heater shields.
- Item changes.

Khergits:
- Item changes.
- Heavy Cavalary Lancers integrated.

Nords:
- The Nords do now only use Round Shields.
- The Nords are now the most allrounder inftantry faction. Their armies should be now tougher and stronger.
- Great Close Combat Archers and even 2 Crossbow Units.
- Replaced/New Units and Troops.
- Many Item changes.

Rhodoks:
- The Rhodoks only use now Round and Pavise shields
- New two hander units.
- Many Item changes.


Sarranids:
- New Spearmen.
- Item changes (I tried to make Sarranids look darker).


Mercanaries:
- New/replaced Norman Mercenaries.
- New/replaced Imperial Mercenaries
- New/replaced French Mercenaries
- Item Changes

Hospitaller:
- Many Item changes.

and much more...

There is no tf_guarantee_* for specific melee weapons, unfortunately. One workaround people have tried is to give the troop multiple copies of the same weapon in their inventory. This (may) make the game engine more likely to give the spawned agents that weapon.

The other (sure) way is to actually do Module System coding that captures an agent on spawn, checks what troop type it is and what weapons it has spawned with, and if missing certain weapons, gives that agent the appropriate equipment. See this thread in The Forge for details: Script to guarantee all melee weapons (1hand, 2hand + polearms).
 
Great initiative effort!

If it's not too much to ask, would it be possible for you to post the troop tree of each faction? It's easier to discuss it that way.

The most of the Nord units are now allrounder Units. For example they have spear and axes or throwing axes and swords ect...
This gives the Nords big advantages against other troop trees cause they are mostly focused on only one weapon type
They have now also great medium tier Archers, throwing axemen and Crossbowmen.

Trrop Tree screens now uploaded.
 
I'd imagine replacing the files in the module folder with the downloaded files would do.
 
and there in lies the problem i've never tried that before so im gonna try it out the regulare troop tree for version 2.3(haven't tried the new tree for this version yet).ill get back with yall later today.
 
hey unlucky
u need to replace the downloaded datas to ur Floris Mod folder (exactly there where u placed the floris mod).

for example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband\Modules\Floris Expanded Mod Pack 2.3
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\mountblade warband\Modules\Floris Expanded Mod Pack 2.3

Great mod! but is it necessary that the nord have crossbowman..?
Anyway u done a great job and hope in future u can do better troop tree than the one in floris ,
 
Nice u liked it dragon.

I liked the crossbowmen from the saxons in King Arthur. They looked so mean, just had to try to implent them also if its not very history accurate for Vikings.
But if u really dont like them just change the bolts and crossbows into archers and arrows. Its very easy with Warband Mod Tools.

Thanks for the advice , i try that now!
one more thing is that will u consider change the troops names ??? because they are confusing many people like me , like Rhodok Cittadino change into Rhodok Peasent so that peole will easy to understand what is the troop about. What do u think? , just suggesting.

I love the names which monnikje and the team created also if its sometimes a little bit confusing.
But i think about it to implent the Troop Specs like I1 (Infantry 1) in the back of the names like Rhodok Cittadino I1.
Just wait for the results of the Poll and what the Floris team decides to make. If they stay at I1 Cittadino im going to change them in Cittadino I1.

 
ok basic problem i have with all this is winrar doesnt allow me to try new things for my mods. winrar wont let me unpack anything anymore.
