I am Zeus. This is The Olympian Carnage Company.

Are you good enough to be one of the few?

ZEUS___GREEK_GODS_PROJECT_by_isikol.jpg

My xfire is rgodfrey. If you would like to join us and you are 15 or older just add me to your xfire here http://www.xfire.com/ or add me to steam.

We are a Mythological type clan so when you join try to pick a Mythological name

Members:

Hades

muhammedthejew

Ranger Ryan

Aldor

F.A.Q.

Why do I need xfire or steam as a member?

Because as of today Steam and Xfire are the only sources of communication that can talk to all members in real time. Meaning that when we are on we can contact you instantly, and when you are on you can speak to us at once too. Infact, you should log into xfire or steam as soon as you are ready to game.

Will there be another source of communication in the futrue?

Yes.

Will there be team speak?

No, due to privacy. I do not want to hear your little sister crying in the background for your GI Joe with the Kung Fu Grip.

bother clan is KoA. I was second in command at KoA for a while so you will treat this clan with the utmost respect at all times. I expect we will have weekly practice with them to sharpen our skills as a unit in the not to distant future. Also we share the same server with them called KoA/OCC server. Thank you.

NEWS UPDATES

Practices will start up every Saturday at 7 pm US central time, after the new year on the 8th. As you know this will be our first practice, this will be a special time for us all, it will be awesome! We will be going over things like physiological warfare, finding your strengths and weakness, and much more. If you cannot make it you must notify me or Ryan 24 hours in advance. You can only miss three of these without notice for the year, and then you will be out of the army forever banished to the hall of shame. Since you notify me in advance, there will be no problems. I do not have a problem when things come up, but I do have a problem if you do not inform us. Thank you.

Yes, I am looking for a few good men. People who are dedicated to win, and achieving excellence in game.

People I am not looking for are clan hoppers, and people who might get online once a week to play, and never stay in touch by xfire, or email, or this thread here.

There will be unity. I love unity. I bring unity. I am unity. And you will be unified too.

Here we have one main rule. Obedience to the gods above you.

Have a good day

Attention all members: You will have the white flag with the red stripes going vertical, much like the American flag. This will help us identify you on the battle field as one of ours. Thank you.

Don't forget to always fight with other AOL members when possible.

Good idea for all the ranks.  They are so detailed and structured you would think it would take...like a... government entity to think of them.  I just hope no one plagiarizes them one day as stealing your creative abilities used here would be...unthinkable.

Cheers

Remember this capt. Everything done has been done before. A new thing is really an old thing with new clothes on capt. My goal is to make the old things better than ever before as if they were new, sir. Dismissed.

Well, see, you can't really dismiss him. That's rather rude. Oh, and MadDawg was wrong. It's not the USMC rank system, it's the US Army rank system.

I chuckled when I saw Godfrey even had the warrant officers.

Pro tip, Godfrey, and with all due respect: Simplified rank systems work best on smaller scales. The Army's rank system works because the Army has thousands upon thousands of men and women. You're lucky if you reach 50 with a Warband clan. Considering the vast array of ranks you have, the proportions would be skewed as you'd have an almost even distribution across the ranks, rather than being very bottom-heavy.

So, if you want to stick with the names, I'd suggest something more along the lines of:

Recruit or Private
Corporal
Sergeant
Master Sergeant, First Sergeant, or Sergeant-at-Arms
Lieutenant
Captain

Anything past Captain is going significantly beyond the scale of your likely member base. Besides, Captain also sounds nice.

Thank you for your input Orion, also, glad I could be the source of your entertainment. I have slimmed down the ranking system to 19, the 20th is of course mine for a later date, for I to have much room for improvment sir. I do expect greater numbers than you mentioned for this army though, call me optimistic.

When I first saw your tag on somebody in-game, the first thing I thought of was bad Internet.

Nevertheless, good luck!

ihr deutsch ist schrecklich = your german is terrible - terrible in a scary way, both of you
du hast glueck, clan = you have luck, clan - first person, informal, out of wack
haben sie gluck, clan = have luck, clan - addresses the group
viel gluck = much luck - much easier
viel gluck mit euer clan = much luck with your clan - probably perfect

the word 'viel' directly translates to 'much' but is used exactly as we would use 'good' in the situation

these sentences would be comprehended in pretty much the same arrangements in both english and german... so 'you have luck, clan' sounds just as stupid in german as it does in english. there are surely other good ways to convey the message as well.
