Zombie "Mod" Server - Discussion

Im leery on fog or night...

But... for this sort of thing, it might add a bit more to the element of surprise zombie attacks, wont be able to see them coming a mile away instead, just see a hoard come charging out of the bushes lol

Because if you even bothered to read, the author of the thread said he'd like to avoid mods / native modes like that and gave reasons as to why.  :roll:

This mod could easily have a zombies server.  Its just a constant admin team for 24 hour surveillance would be required due to team changing, resetting the survivors etc etc etc.  This idea is so malleable its not even funny.  We could easily implement so many things and still have it all fit together piece by piece just like a puzzle.

However, I don't think the tale worlds forums is strong enough to support the many stages of development needed for this to be effective; maybe move it somewhere else? Or hell, make about 10 more threads and we will be good haha.

Let try it on a 2H events before asking to be 24H/7 server right ?

You know, it would probably be easier to make a medieval mod for DayZ rather than a DayZ mod for PW
 
Maybe, except Arma is absolutely horrible at melee based combat and, well, its Arma. That alone says alot.

DayZ with melee won't work because part of the enjoyment of DayZ is taking out an unsuspecting victim without him ever having any chance of defending himself. That doesn't exist in Warband, as even the most powerful bow usually takes more than 1 shot to kill.
 
We could do something with the most powerful crossbow and no armour if anything  :lol:
 
Yes, because a bunch of naked people running around with high-power crossbows is an accurate representation of the apocalypse :grin:
 
I'd play on it. As for the "wood blocks" thing, maybe make it iron ore, and have them sell cheap at the Zombie base, and expensive at the survivor base, so that the zombies have a reason to carry them. This way, they are slowed down, but want to be, instead of being force upon, and having some just drop them and go rambo people.
 
By the way, i'm still looking for someone to do a medium size city map.
We will do a modified crusaders on sunday event
