-The Epic Team Behind The Epic Game!

Hello mates greetings forum Türkçe Forum!

Let me intruduce Zendar Tavern to you. We are an Official Community of TaleWorlds. (Before we was "Warband - Türkiye") And this is an Q&A with Yazzy! He answers some questions about Mount & Blade 2, Warband and TaleWorlds Company itself! Read it Read it now!

Tale Worlds' Director of Communucation, Ali Erkin joined a Turkish game show on TV last year. And he said "TaleWorlds is thinking about console games. But it just remain as a idea for now." Is there any console game idea or project from TW?

Well we think it would be nice to be able to bring a Mount & Blade game to the consoles, but making it happen is a different story.  There are several difficulties to overcome, like making sure a publisher can get our game on a console and having the resources in terms of man-power/time to get the job done.  So yes we like the idea but we're not sure if it is possible.

What is TaleWorlds team planning about the next M&B?

We can't really speak too much about our next game  Sorry to disappoint you, but when we're ready we'll get the information flowing!

We know that the mods of M&B have a really importance. If that modes does not here today M&B will not this popular. And we know TW team playing some of the mods. But when we think about Turkish mods, we dont know about TW team even knows that modes excitences. Are TW team know about Tukish mods and playing those mods?

We know just a little bit about them.  I know maybe a bit more about them thanks to you good sir Marda.  I'd recommend making sure to promote your mods in English so that us and the rest of the players can be exposed to them.  Also I'd recommend putting your mods on Desura(and in english) so you can get even more exposure!

How many people working under the Tale Worlds Entertaintment?

+20 people and occasionally an army of interns(including an Irish intern!) we have increased our numbers since Warband released, it's been amazing watching the studio grow and grow!

Are there any projects or plans to make M&B 2 right now?

Well I think you guys already know the answer to this, ever since the PC Gamer video came out on Steam announcing something very special...wink, wink

What is your thoughts about still a lot of players playing Warband instead of WFAS?

I'm happy players are playing our games, it doesn't matter too much to me which one.  This is one way for players to show us what kind of things they like best, so it's a good source of information for us.

The players all around the world really wants to see the TaleWorlds' office. Will be see a lot of TW's "workshop" in the future?

We actually do want to do some kind of video tour of our office in the future, I hope we'll have the time to do it.  I really like other developer diaries showing their offices, so why not do one for our office too.

When will be VAC system be active on Warband and WFAS?

Great question!  We are working with Valve to solve this issue, I'm hoping we can get this solved soon, no joke!

How many copies has been sold of M&B franchise in the World?

Not millions and millions but we've been doing very well and are extremely grateful for our fans and our international success.  We usually shy away from giving exact numbers, you know how us silly game developers are

Is there be any M&B Merchandise like action figures, posters, t-shirts etc.?

That would be cool and we think it would be pretty neat to make those kind of things, but there are a lot of business issues concerning these kind of things, like finding companies to make these and also having a publisher who can commit to do these kind of things.  Maybe in the future, who knows.

Are we going to see new cultures on next games of TW? Like Asian Dynasties or American Tribes?

I can't comment on specific factions or tribes in our new game, but we don't just want to copy and paste the same factions for every M&B game.

Is there will be any update for Warband's MP with new maps, new game modes etc?

Honestly I'm not sure, but we've talked about it around the office.

Is there any last words for the Turkish M&B Community?

Thanks for buying our games and supporting us, it makes us feel really good when we have real genuine local support.  Also don't shy away from putting your mods in English

Aye, great job, Arda. Awesome!

This though! Thank you for asking this the most. Just to make sure they know what's going on.

And more importantly, what about people who do not use Steam?

Always good to hear from the devs. Can't help but wonder how many copies of Warband they sold though...

The fact that it's doing well and the size of the development team is promising, with regards to what we can expect for the next game anyway.

Don't take this as a confirmation, since I know nothing about the matter but I expect this will be resolved somehow.

Interesting, thank you for bringing this to the English boards.

Like many others I'm curious as to the sales of WB, but it's good knowing it is going well.

Surprising to hear that we will probably see new factions ( perhaps not even Calradia ), here's much hope and faith that at least the Medieval setting will be kept.

Alluring Ymira poster and Rolf action figure would be high on my merchandise wish list.

Thanks, good read! They are keeping their cards close to their chest though.

I didn't know the dev team behind the game is now so big either, which is quite frankly awesome.  Also, the picture is great, it reminds me of pretty much any kind of dev/engineering company, the one woman in the sausage factory, and I'm going to guess armagan's wife?  I've been wondering if shes the 'voice actor' for the maligned feminine screams I've been hearing for the past 2 years...and who does the 'man grunts' ?

I do wish armagan would do more of the talking though, obviously most interested in the guy who started it all. Anyway though, great interview and good questions!

I could be wrong here, but doesnt your player ID give you a indication of when you bought the game? Could it be the id shows what copy you bought? I bought my game very early and I only have a 4 digit ID.

Thanks a lot!

I with they would talk on the forums as well, this is the kind of thing that keeps people interested.

It is a very unreliable indicator actually. It seems to vary from country to country (Russian IDs are all 6 digit and in the 400000s or 300000s). There does seem to be a general trend but I got my copy practically the minute it first came out and I have a 6 digit ID.

Although what is true (and I know this from managing the IDs for the ENL) is that the first 7 digit IDs started emerging maybe a month or so ago and they are all in the 1000000s (that is to say not the 2000000s or 3000000s etc.). So it could well be the case that they have just recently tipped over the 1000000 mark but IDs aren't exactly proof of that.

There is another trend with IDs that seems to show that where people have multiple IDs, they are often quite similar (only one or two digits out). This doesn't apply to all cases but there is a trend of it.
