Knight at Arms
Hi.
...
I've spent the last night and few hours today updating my old Zendar maps with Armagan's new objects and Effidian's improved editor, and I think it's ready to be released. I'd like to share it with people, and get some feedback and suggestions.
However, my problem is that I don't know how to zip up my zendar sceneobj files and the troops.txt file. Could someone tell me please?

Btw, I posted some pictures of the old version awhile ago, but here are three of the new and improved Zendar:

(I'd gladly thumbnail these if I knew how to. )

looks nice, however I predict we are gonig to have a lot of Zendar mods (guessing as in Morrowind there are a tonne of mods for Balmora).

Thanks for the compliments guys. :)

@ Smaug--Yes, they should, but a) there is nowhere for them to stand over there (map doesn't exist, heh), and b) I tried putting them behind the battlements on the keep and on the gatehouse, and I couldn't see them at all.:/

@ Scamp--Yeah, I'm sure there are a lot of mods, but I thought I'd give it a try.
(@ Raz) I'd like to add on to the Project Detail Props mod with extra NPCs, and by linking the rooms in the maps together. Nothing real complicated, really, as Armagan included some new editing options with the new patch. Right now I'd just like to get my feet wet, and see what other people think.

Oh, I didn't post the whole picture. Let me find it.
Thanks for the compliments--any idea how to zip multiple files together? :(

The best picture I could find of the whole design that includes that armor:

Obviously, this picture is somewhat outdated, but the design is still the same. What do you think of it? A little cool, or just "lame?"

Btw--I found that this gets rid of the chest in The Happy Boar (scenes were edited before that was implemented)--any idea how I can mod it in? When I go to try to add the zendar chest, it just goes in as a normal NPC (with an odd name :) ).

I still think those armors look a bit out of place hanging there, but the shield doesn't look so bad.
The torches look great, it ads a nice and realistic atmosphere.
Keep up the good work.

You can add as many files as you like to an existing zip file, just dragg and dropp.

I can't help you withh the other questions, sorry.

Alright, I'll release the mod with the stuff as it is now, and if people like to get rid of the armors, it should be easy to delete them. Then, we can decide which way is better.
Thanks for the support and the help with zipping, blade.
I have the files zipped, but Janus' site is down right now. :x
If anyone would like an early preview and would like me to email the file, I'd like the feedback...*nudge nudge*

You're wellcome.
I'd like to try it out, but i need the chest working because i got stuff in there.

Edit: anyways, i think this would be a nice complement to the Detail Props mod. Maybe you should get in touch with the guys. :)

Fenrisoft's back up, and the mod is at Janus' site. w00t!

The file is classified as miscellanious.

@ dablade--If you really wanted to, you could back up your files (crap--always back up your files, I forgot to mention that... ), then copy mine into your folder to check it all out, and when you're done, just copy your old ones back in there.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts, everyone.

Cool deal! 8)

I updated the arena some--here are two pictures:

My computer's pretty old, so that fps shouldn't be typical--everything on the outside of the arena (well, pretty much everything) is at right angles, and so shouldn't use much processing power (or whatever--I just heard it from someone else on these forums :P ).
Of course, as before, if you don't like the stuff, go right ahead and delete it.

Alright, if anyone's still watching this, I have an update.

Today I put a house in Zendar (well, actually outside it), and will be "decorating" it soon. I learned from Effidian that I hadn't yet reached the maximum number of people, and so will soldier on!
Just FYI: If you make a new building, and it seems to be entirely black, don't spend half an hour trying to get the right texture in there--put a torch in the room! (Learned the hard way. )

Also, I created a statue of a horse (just don't try to buy a steppe horse :P ).

I have a month-long break starting tomorrow, so hopefully I can keep working on this. (And hopefully I can get a new graphics card so my fps isn't ten with all effects off. )

You could keep it separate without overwriting the steppe horse; n008's video tutorial covers just such a thing in part (the hard parts).

@ Stonewall382 I was wondering if you wanted to get together and make all the citys like zendar.i.e you can walk around go into buildings ect.
I've all ready made rivacheg and it could be cool to have all the citys fully
walk-through-able.If you know what i mean :D
