Here's a tip- roll like crazy. You probably know this, but rolling makes you travel ever so slightly faster than normal.

Its impossible to beat him, its coded so that even if you get 00.00.01 as your time, he'll get 00.00.001. Basically, no matter how fast you are, you'll never beat him.
