Do you guys play on max detail? (I do and the game still looks kinda gross all pasty and stuff)
I also wanna know what your battle sizes are set at and such as well as your damages. This is just for the sake of curiosity
Graphics settings: Maxed out everything (Ultra high, AA 8x, so on and so forth)
Control Block: By mouse
Control Attack: By mouse
Lance Control: Automatic (I don't have the slightest idea how to use a lance and never really do)
D2P: Normal
D2F: Normal
Combat AI: Good
Campaign AI: Good
Combat Speed: Fastest (I haven't the slightest idea what it's actually for so i just leave it here lol)
Battle size: 745 (It runs great about 99.9999% of the time with the occasional system lock up)
Difficulty Rating: 163% (Guess that's why I get my arse kicked so much )

I play on High video settings and turn HDR off (I don't think it works too well in WB)
As for difficulty, I have everything maxed except Player Damage and Friend Damage (which is 3/4). Which makes it 62%.

What mod do you suggest for getting a larger battle size? 745 is pretty high XD

I just use the battlesizer and 745 is pretty big but 99% of the time it doesn't lag and battles give more renown so it's worth it lol.

You must have a nice build for 800+ Lol I'm running a core i7 920 @ 3.4Ghz and radeon 5970 OC'ed and it starts to lag if i put it much higher lol

Hmm....Dual 9500 GT and Pentium 4 Dual-Core 2.93 ghz.

Now that I say that, though, it lags a bit, and I have to nerf anti-aliasing down to about 2x to get it not too.  600 though, runs fine with the AA.

That's a nice rig you have though!  Wish mine was that good!

I play on lowest settings because my laptop of over 3 yrs is dying

Anyways, I'm gonna get a new rig soon, at the end of spring, so I can't wait to try larger battle sizes (limited to 50) feels more like skirmishes or still fighting bandits oh well

Oh well, M&B never used to be about graphics anyways, right guys? Riiight? Gameplay+replayability >>>> grafix

Yeah but I just wait for the day when I shoot a guy in the head with an arrow and it looks real lol.

I play with Hdr set on low, even though my computer can handle the high. I just think the high Hdr is too much.

@Tomwa: try the Flying Missle Replacer Even though it is for the original M&B, if you follow the instructions it works for Warband too.

Sweet now all I need is for the shields to stop being made by jesus (blocking everything that comes within 50 feet of the target) and I'm all good.

Well, for that, might I suggest these...

I'm confused how does that help me when I'm shooting at nord face and and it hits nord shield no matter what?

Since you obviously have 8 athletics skill, you run up with an axe, destory shield, run away shoot in face

That must be most ridiculous archer method I've heard lol I just want to be able to shoot over shields.

You can also grab some throwing axes. Throw them at shield and when You destroy it use your bow.

Graphics settings: Maxed
Control Block: Automatic
Control Attack: By mouse
Lance Control: Manual easy
D2P: Normal
D2F: Normal
Combat AI: Good
Campaign AI: Good
Combat Speed: Normal
Battle size: 400 (battles 200 vs. 200 are enough for me)

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like when I'm using throwing weapons they just cannot get the distance an arrow can (Which makes sense). Distance is important when you focus almost entirely on archery.

Actually, with a siege crossbow, it doesn't really matter if they have a shield....since it is powerful enough to puch through most. Or if you are dead set on archery, I would suggest a Large Bag of Homing Arrows....

Yes but athletics is important too for archers so you can throw from short distance and run to get enough distance for shooting. I've tried this and if you practice it works but now I'm just shooting at knees when I'm fighting axe&shield guys with my archer char

But comone as an archer you gotta admit the shields can be ridiculous lol I can get around fine (Especially when on horseback) but i'd be a lot more efficient if the shields weren't creating invisible force fields and we have gotten sooooo offtopic lol I hope people continue to post their settings as they reply lol.

HDR on. ( 168 cm flat screen plasma 4 the win     )
MAx grahpic settings all the way/

dual core. nothing fancy , 8600 graphic card ... again my rig isnt exactly fancy....

Graphics look awesome   Way way cool.... HD rocks my world.

All other settings good ai , etc etc .... still ... crossbow bolt to the face hurts ..... no matter the skill level.
