So I thought it might be nice to have a collective topic about games on the recently started steam greenlight section that you'd like to promote or discuss or whatever. Maybe?

I'm a sucker for shiny things and more or less unusual game concepts (or maybe I'm just not a proper gamer and prefer casual stuff), so I upvoted these:
Aril, pacman-ish but more combat-y. I think.
InFlux, Ballance-y rolling around and puzzling your way.
Melody's Escape, music-based platformer with pretty graphics and (as of yet) ****ty animation.
Flowstorm, I dunno how to describe the gameplay, but it's ooh, shiny.

There's loads more games being put on every minute, as it seems, so I'm sure there'll be many interesting concepts presented.

So far not much, the vast majority of these "games" are garbage. So many clones, platformers, mobile ports, flash games, barely developed games, and general garbage. This is great since it enables me to help crush the dreams of ****ty developers.

I have 145 games left to vote on. Once I'm done that I'll check which ones I actually liked (so far mostly games that have already been around, like Air Buccaneers (although I already pre-ordered Guns of Icarus Online)).

Vinland: Arctic Assault; its an arcade game which has you guide Leif Erikson and his crew through a series of challenging encounters in order to discover the mythical lands to the west. You can select which ship type to captain, how to arm it, and what crew members to take along for the journey, all contained in a nice story.

Please vote for it, the more support it gets the better!

I might be a little biased though

People are uploading stuff about games that they have nothing to do with and simply want to see on steam. Like flash games, and Spelunky.

EDIT: Now it says I have rated everything, but I haven't... whatever almost nothing was good anyway.

I have to wonder: Could they have made it any harder to navigate this mess? There's some interesting games hidden in here, but it's hard to vote for them when it takes a good five seconds to load something after every mouse click.

Pro Wrestling X: Uprising. I've been following that game since about 2004 and have been eagerly anticipating it since.

pls vot fur dis gaim

Project Zomboid, 8BitMMO, although I haven't played them, only seem some screenshots.

I saw a couple from kickstarter/indiegogo I recognized and voted for them. Most of that **** is... ****. There ratio of outright terrible games to games that might be alright I guess is like 20:1.

I'm upvoting ones that look professional or polished, but I've really only seen a few that I like enough to want. I'd say which ones, but the favorite feature doesn't seem to work yet.

I had that too, but it seems it was a bug they fixed by now.

it does, just the link it gives you is a bit wrong. you have to check "your workshop files" and then on the greenlight tab, select favourites...

they shouldn't just have "games you've rated", but rather "games you've upvoted". :/

The copyright infringements here are like goddamned hydras - for every one that Valve kills, 10 more spring up to take its place.
