What is you opinion about the cav limit idea?

@Raven: We can't change prices I told a hundred times now.
@Ncro: Ye they are still a very strong troopclass but that counts for musketeers in general too, polish musketeers are nearly simular and krimean archers are still way stonger than swedish musketeers, cossac infantry has havy damage in infantry to they can buy armor and musket only because they have free spears and bullets so that should be balanced.

@Land: Yes there is a factionchange but the  problem is if one faction is OP we aren't abled to get different scores :grin: it will end 5:5 on map one and 5:5 on the secound map :grin:

but that counts for musketeers in general too, polish musketeers are nearly simular ---> What ? Accuracy is not the same, and that change a lot of things, will maybe do a test for it as well, but Swedish musketman are far superior

cossac infantry has havy damage in infantry to they can buy armor and musket only because they have free spears and bullets so that should be balanced.---> Not the problem, swedish inf is still better than cossack inf, and btw, the miquelet musket for cossack musketman costs 1040, so they can't buy their best muskets ! Moreover, 1000 gold would put cav to a useless position, look at the equipment on the video, it's unplayable, and I'm not trying to defend cav, but with so low money, I think that cav would become useless.

hmm the only working test will be trainwars basing on the new system imo shooting at targets isn't saying that much because in this situation a polish musketeer is simular one hit with a bullet 2hits with a surrounded musket.
I will get a server running and the I will contact you and TAH to ask for a trainwar between TAH and Barabe. we will see I will use the first custom map and krimean and sweden after that we might know more.
 
I'm not able to check it right now, but I guess that there will be some options for non-swedish marksmen to take armour defending them from being killed by 1 hit from swedish musket and killing opponent with one hit.
The option you were working with is like "default" but everyone can take more balanced eq. It's not that easy.

A cav limit with % is not bad,but then its impossible to do cavbattles on league :3 and this sucks..maybe cav limit in precize facitons..

You can put the limit as an option.
If one of the two clans want to use cav limit, it has to be like that, but if the two clans wants to play without cav limit, they should be able to.
 
But we ll make it unrealistic to limit cav, its not good idea to set particular number of troops each kind. Every clan should have the possibility to do cav spam cuz it is a good way to win but they must really deserve it! How? If not increasing prices (however imo its best idea and creating a small mod just for league - if u want to play league match u just launch the mod - u wanna play normal siege or battle or duel or whatever - u launch native) then we should think of another way but not cav limit. For ex. best cav carabines are available since 3rd round each spawn. Or it would be just forbidden to use best cav carabines (this 1200 and 950 should be banned). And remember that only horseSNIPING is op, not other cav's use.
 
Guys curretntly 72% of the voters what a cav limit and most of them at 40% so there will be cav limit at 40% if this doesn't change.
limiting cav isn't unrealistic, the bad pike unimations are unrealistic or the way to good aim for muskets in generall but in medieval times cav was limited by the number of horses and I guess noone had 100% cav in his troops.

This game isn't set in medieval. yeah but we shouldn't make it more realistic, in many battles there was a majority of cav. The most unrealistic thing is musketeer shooting - fast reoading and shooting without a stick put in a vertical way which a musket is leaned on :p

For 6 vs 6 : 2,4 cavs
For 7 vs 7 : 2,8 cavs
For 8 vs 8 : 3,2 cavs
For 9 vs 9 : 3,6 cavs
For 10 vs 10 : 4 cavs
For 11 vs 11 : 4,4 cavs
For 12 vs 12 : 4,8 cavs

no less then 40% thats the rule so 2 at 2,8
thats why I wrote it in the example files to make sure this discussion won't come up here.
 
My point is, as it a an opinion thread, I assume that Zymiex doesn't know exactly what is he going to do, so he might change his mind if people ask for one thing or for another, so that's why asking now seems a bit untimely to me.
(And no it's not " bad " )
