My power is absolute because it isen't, we have 3 other admins. I am just the most active one, so maybe it is absolute, the reason for which is because under my hand the forum has grown from 500 members to what now? 2700 some? and a good majority of them I love like my own children

See, normally on ANY OTHER SITE the admins pick the mods, here I allow you guys to have some freedom in selecting your leaders, or atleast give some choise. Comments like yours make me see why perhaps I shoulden't, but then I reconsider, because MOST people do appreciate this kind of freedom.

Interesting. Funny enough ... I don't recall saying anything about not appreciating "this kind of freedom". I actually thought it was a really good idea. After reading my post for the tenth time, I still cannot seem to locate the statement that lead to you drawing that conclusion. Maybe you speculated that I didn't appreciate it?

I do see where you might be offended by a few of the comments that I made ... but I just don't get where you find that I assumed anything in a negative way in regards to the private 'inner workings/behind-the-scenes' activity of the forum. I stated that I wondered why Strange wasn't on the list. Then I asked you to consider adding him to the list. I assumed you didn't because he wasn't on it, true ... so did (at least) two others. Should we have assumed that you did ask him and he refused instead?

The thing about "absolute power" was my way of saying that I am aware that the choice is yours to make (unless Arm steps in). That assumption came from the following statement, made in the first sentence, in the first post, in this thread:

If you are offended by statements I made, I apologize. My opinion is that this forum/community could be greatly improved by handling things in a different way than they have been, hence my remarks and lack of posting. I did not believe you would take it personally and get on the defensive ... not everyone will always agree how things should be dealt with. If you would like, you are free to PM me and we can chat more in-depth about these things but as far as this post goes ... back on topic with my apologies.

okiN gets my vote because he's:

1) relatively sensible. (So, you won't see him going all "Borcha" on the forums)

2) is Finnish (So, he'd be easy to find as there are only about three dozen Finns in Finland and half of them are forum members.)

3) has a quirky sense of humor that no one can understand. (Thus, his jokes will offend no one as we won't realize they are jokes and our jokes will go right over his head. It's win win.)
