Hi,
Just out of a mixture of curiosity and historical interest in terms of how the game is made I was wondering where all you people come from? mainly because I noticed in the time Ive spent in america (no offence meant to all you Americans out there) there seems to be a lack of interest in America of history from outside america, giving rise to my belief that thats where the american fixation with magics and supernaturality posted onto a semi- European middle aged setting comes from (p.s creators of M&B please dont let anyone pursuade you to put in health potions or magic etc :D )
Also because in New Zealand where I live M&B is starting to have a bit of a following!!

This topic should probably be moved to the off-topic area.

I am from the United States in North America. I would have to agree that there is a general lack of interest in history outside of America, or anywhere for that instance. This was a problem for Europe at the turn of last century as well. Generally, there is a disdain for anything that is "old", especially towards old ideas. Euthanasia of old ideas is occuring at a rapid pace in my culture, due to the erroneous belief that the new is always superior to the old.

Fascination with magic and spirituality comes from the flaw of the excluded middle within the western-secular worldview. Most people in North America believe in a higher power/God (or god if you prefer), and yet fail to ask why things occur. Is it fate? Is it providence? What is the purpose of life? Why are we here? What is good?

These are questions that western secularism is unable to answer. As a result, a change in our society is occuring, with many people exploring ideas from other worldviews (hinduism, buddism, taoism, and the more traditional christianity). This is why the New-Age movement is around and growing stronger with every passing year.

Yeah, this topic belongs in the off-topic forum, along with the other 'what's your nationality?' thread.

But at least this time it inclides australasia. That's almost where i live, and it's much closer than Asia.

What exactly is Australasia? Ive never heard of it.

Im from Australia btw.

This reminds me of a thread i saw a while ago. It had 2 choices -
1. USA
2. Rest of world

Or that second last nationality thread that tried specific countries, I boycotted it. This one is much better, and the demographics may have changed.

From England, and who won the World Cup Mablung?

And who hasn't done a single thing since? Face it, you're has-beens! The All Blacks thumped the 6 Nations winners 41-3, Ireland is next, then England and Scotland!

You English are always looking backwards as you don't seem capable to win - you got beaten when you came here to play Australia and New Zealand and the Lions tour was an absolute disaster.

Mablong is a ****ing rebel! I live in the U.S. Whoes gonna play some real Foot Ball God Damnit? Not me I'm American I don't know about real football.

Also because in New Zealand where I live M&B is starting to have a bit of a following!!

Is it? I'm the only person I know in real life from NZ that plays m&b.

Lets see, Ben hussey, mablung and i believe, rathanax. Three other people from NZ with whom i can mitigate accusations of sheep shagging.

you have no authority to close this thread, because you are not princescamp.

Besides there is only one other thread with the same theme, and it didn't even include australia and New zealand, so it was of poorer quality. And the posters who posted in that thread were of poorer quality too.

I'm from Japan.

By the way, what exactly 'Europe' means?
Does it includes Turkey, Russia and so on? Depends on how you term 'Europe', the vote would be totally different (because many M&B players are Turkish).

edit: And this vote doesn't include Middle East and India. And I'm sure some lonely scientists in Antactica is playing M&B.
