Dalkar

Grandmaster Knight
I'm curious to know, seeing as most people have alot of different playstyles.
For me it's definitely the Heavy Great Long Bardiche. The animations are so cool and it packs a big punch too.
Masterwork War Bow is also excellent. Took out Harlaus in two shots in the chest with it once.

I like bows, but I can never last long without a sword at my side. Mostly it's because of the sheath, which looks awesome

I've taken a liking to the Military Cleaver.
If not, then the Nord War Sword.
Well, at least in multiplayer. Did like the Balanced Lances in singleplayer.

Cleavers look epic. I can't stand lances, some moron of a horseman always gets in my way.

Bow - MW Strong Bow (doesn't look awkward on my back and uses all 10 of my PD )
Blunt - Heavy Iron Mace (nice reach, respectable speed, is there any other blunt weapon longer then 70 thats not a polearm?)
Pierce - Heavy Morningstar For reasons that have already been explained in depth in other places
General use - Sword of War / Heavy Great Long Axe

all of this is mounted, btw

Military Cleaver for overall stuff and mounted slaying
Great long bardiche for sieges. It's epic from a ladder.

Balanced Great Lance because I goddamn love running fools down, especially routing fools.  That is most choice.

Also, I love my siege crossbow.  Sure, bows have higher rates of fire, and if I put a ton of skill points into power draw can potentially do more damage per shot, but I'd rather spend those precious, precious skill points on tactics, training and other skills that keep the guys who are draining my cash alive.  I know it sounds really stupid when I put it that way, but I'd much rather spend 2k/week on upkeep (out of 9k/week income) and have 80 meatshields than worry about dying in combat because there are 80 assholes coming from a different part of the map.

Heavy Lance,Heavy Bastard Sword,Kite Shield or Light Crossbow,Steel Bolts.First two balanced. And of course mounted.

Arming sword.

Edit; oh wait, single player. In that case; anything that tickles my fancy. Though probably 1hander (sword or axe, probably sword if I find a good one), shield, polearm, throwing.

2h: bastard swords, 2h axe/war axe, iron mace
1h: club, flanged/spiked mace, long arming sword, bastard swords, scimitars, kinda have a liking for throwing axes
polearm: quarterstaff, shortened spear, spear, voulge (you want epic cleaving on top of the ladder but can't get your hands on a poleaxe? this is your solution; works wonders even from up close)
ranged: light crossbow, short bow, like throwing weapons but have an issue with just how unrealistically inaccurate and heavy they are in the game. Except for stones. Those things rock in the early game (pun intended).

all of the listed melee weapons without the Unbalanced tag are preferably balanced. Ranged weapons preferably masterwork (balanced for thrown ones).

Great Long Axe, and as a polearm! Polearm block and swipe animations are much more exciting than 2-handed for infantry combat. And, same reasons as above stated for the Bardiche, I guess. It's just so satisfying to cut down Swadian knights with a single thunderous overhead.

I just wish jump-attacks actually contributed to your damage.

they should. Morning stars actually crush through blocks when you literally jump your enemy. For other weapons, even just aiming properly upwards to load your swing and then moving your camera with the swing tends to land better shots. Anything that gives a speed bonus.

My favorite weapons in MP are heavy throwing axes.  I love switching back and forth between melee and ranged without having to switch weapons.  Unfortunately throwing weapons aren't all that great in SP because you need more ammo than you can carry.

In my latest game in SP I'm using a long warhammer.  It's a polearm with really high blunt damage, and decent piercing damage from thrusts.  You can't use it mounted, but I like playing infantry better anyway.  I also carry throwing spears and a 1hd sword if I need to use my shield.

Honestly, if Native allowed the Bec de Corbin to swing sideways, I'd use that as a polearm almost invariably. But that's why I play my own mod for SP.

I really like the Elite Scimitar, balanced or better variant of course.  Fast and long, it's a great weapon on horseback and is very decent on foot too.

I've been playing a lot with the Long Awlpike recently and it's quite some fun.  Long enough to poke other horsemen before they poke me, and it can do some pretty nasty damage on guys on foot too.

But my favorite of all are bows, the fast ones.

I like a short sword, i mostly use it with with board shield,
i wish Rhodok use short swords too, there spears totally suck.
Becouse they would rule in sieges when everyone is packed together becouse they could still stab at reasonable strenght instead of unusable spears just jutting in a hopless manner...

Heavy great long axe for general killing, Pike when facing khergits, and my Masterwork Long Arming Sword.
Honestly i'd love being able to hit people with my board shield.
