Thanks mate, that works perfectly.  Another feature that I didn't even know about.  Shame I don't get more time to issue orders to all the groups before enemy cavalry are able to attack us, but I suppose that's the whole point of cavalry - and the whole point of hills, hehe.  With these assignable groups I can have two teams of archers and try to set up triangulated fire if there's time.  I don't enjoy playing an archer much, but I love seeing my archers tear an army apart.

The Pre-Battle Orders & Deployment mod allows you to give orders to your troops before battle.  I find it very handy.  There's also a version that goes along with the Diplomacy mod.

My favourite companion is Lezalit.Because his trained too much soldier. And his good warrior,or leader.Whatever.

Probably a tie between Deshavi and Matheld.

Deshavi because you can make her into an absolutely fantastic ranger.

Matheld because she's a badass warrior.

Borcha, because i heard he beat people with his bare hands.

I hate Borcha. He is weak, expensive, ugly and reduces the amount of girls you can have by half.

Bunduk's a tough bastard ,i tell you. And his story is funny ,haha .

He trains my troops, and likes discipline and to kick ass . He is Van diesel's grand grand grandfather . Bunduk Diesel

No way, i myself experienced him just running naked and punching people to death. And they were mercenary swordsmen.

I voted Lezalit.

He's a bit of a bastard, so it's not really hard to piss him off (for me), and he helps train my troops, which is extremely useful early on.

I chose firentis, then Deshavi and last but not least Bahester. They are my personal pimp infantry kicking ass in full plate armour .
Also screw Alayen, the noble blue blood can kiss my ass for being a pompous fool (hires him for Emissary) "Good evening my lord" (me) "Tell the Swadiadians to go **** themselves and you should too" "of course my lord"

What's wrong with Alayen? I know he starts low and quite pricey, but I usually choose him cause he's a noble, so that when forming a kingdom he's usually taken into consideration for handing out fiefs. (I usually do not do it to non-nobles)

I like Alayen too. The fact that he starts at low level makes him more useful, as you can train him in whatever way you want. Hes just not my favorite and you can only vote once.

Jeremus. Best to recruit at first day. He is free and instantly gives you boost to trade, wound healing and first aid. Surgery is not so important, while i keep only companions for first few weeks. If you invest solely in his INT, you end up with great medic and engineer. If you want a warrior you can just take few more swadian knights - Jeremus cannot be replaced.

Second place Deshavi - i like to have pathfinding and spotting at 10.

Third place Nizar - he starts with 3 ps and if, but 7 agi and str, so before you increase them to 12 you have lot of points to invest in party skills like trainer.

The companions I always have are Firentis, Deshavi, Lezalit, Artimenner and Jeremus. Firentis and Deshavi being my favourites. Firentis is a great humble fighter and Deshavi is a great archer.

Bunduk. Skilled with the crossbow and a good ol' revolutionary.
(I generally try to buy him a good crossbow as soon as possible)
Otherwise Borcha is quite good (imho), tracking's actually useful: "let's see, that lord went to my village... might still be there, could beat him..."
