you people need to come out of the dark and in to the light that is...

George Carlin
(angels singing in background)

Anyways.

George Carlin is like... the BEST comedian ever to walk the face of the earth. If you haven't heard any of his stuff or heard of him, then go dl some or buy some or w/e. Morons.

Speaking of funny stuff...

THAT is some funny ****. Watch the Doctor one. hilarious

When George Carlin started to explain how golf courses and cemetaries would be great places for poor people to live, I thought "Wow, this man is a genius." When President George II said that he didn't want to see federal handcuffs on teachers I thought "Wow, this man was born without a frontal lobe!" Unfortunately Americans don't elect bitter comedians to be president even though they should. I mean how much worse could Lewis Black do?

If any comedian should be president it should be Mitch Hedberg (if he was still alive) I mean, I can see it now..

"Mr president it's time for your re-election"
"for... what?"
"For... being the president again"
"being... what?"

I'm sure he would figure it out in like years tho, and tell people "hey I was the president somewhere sometime ago".

I like when the funny part hits in Steven Lynch's songs but, then he just keeps playing on and on with the same joke for like another 5 minutes. Like the "When Grandpa Dies" song for instance. I do like Dane Cook though, in small doses.

I am suprised that anyone else in the world knows who Mitch Hedberg is though. He just had the best sound and knew that most of his jokes sucked but, he did them anyway. All of his humor was in the recovery from bad jokes or at least that's how I view him. A president? No, vice-president. Lewis Black would be the best president. As he said, "We don't need a president. We just need a man who is willing to get a hummer every once in awhile. And I'm just the man for the job."

Best stand up comedians?

Bill Hicks, immortalised in his humour (and Goat boy)

Robin Williams, good films, but not a patch on his standup

Dennis Leary, how could you not have mentioned him after mentioning Bill?!!

Jack Dee, an ultimate cynic

Jaspar Carrot, "You make a few jokes about dyslexics.. the letters you get!"

Incidently theres a Bill Hicks vid coming out of his standup work and interviews in a few weeks time, if you have a (cynical) sense of humour find it and buy it!

You will laugh your possibly proverbial tits off

i'm going to have to say my favourite stand up comedians is probably Jon Stewart. Followed very closely by anyone of the Kids in the Hall. Of them Scott Thompson is probably my favourite.

Peter Kay. I advise you to watch some of his TV series: Pheonix nights, that Peter kay thing. And plenty more.

Mitch Hedberg died? Damn I liked him. I saw a two hour show about Hicks and I liked him too. I wish good guys could live a little longer than the evil freaks.
